X-Men vs. Hulk Reviews
Jeff Hulk’s friend. Hulk review Hulk book for Jeff. Hulk like pretty pictures of Hulk smashing stupid X-Men. When Hulk return from Hulk Planet, Hulk beat up all X-Men. Dumb X-Men. Hulk like punching big claws man. Big claws man hurt Hulk. A lot. Smashing make Hulk happy. Hulk strongest one there is.Hulk sad about rest of book. Rest of book suck. Hulk only fight metal man and girl who falls into ground. Hulk not fight X-Men rest of book. Title of book not make sense. This make Hulk head hurt. Hulk team up with boring X-Men. Two times. Hulk fight with Bird Man and Freeze Man. Dullest one there is. Last story not even in color. This make Hulk mad. Jeff trick Hulk. This make Hulk mad at Jeff. Hulk find Jeff and rip head off. Hulk use head of Jeff for ashtray.Hulk not care about Chris Claremont or John Bryne. Hulk find them and hurt them too.(This one's for you, Kat)
Starts with most recent and goes backwards to first meeting.
Pretty good collection of random X-men and Hulk stories. A good job of selection and editing and mix of old and new and none too long. Usually the old stories in this kind of book are almost unreadable, but in this one the read quite a bit better. The Piotr Rasputin meets Hulk story was a bit of a standout. Still there was nothing all that great about this book either. And none of the latest incarnation of the Hulk/Banner which I like better. 3.5 of 5.
A 3.5 for me overall. The reprint of the World War Hulk X-Men mini has good writing and art ( though no real plot), the Stern/ Byrne/Layton reprint of Hulk Annual 7 is a personal favourite, and nice to see the Moench/Simonson black and white Rampaging Hulk reprint. The weak reprints are the Hulk Team Up and X-Men vs Hulk one shots, both average at best.On balance though entertaining enough, and worth a read.
what is even happening in this book. why is everyone yelling 'hit him hard!' over and over again. what. WHAT. And, the plotline- is there one? Does anything actually happen?? People fight. Cameos of random x-men happen. Rinse and repeat.
the art was really good
2.5 for the first three issues, the rest was "not good"
