Let me start my review by saying, I do believe in angels. Before I ever read this book I've felt that angels live among us and help us day by day. So reading this story about Guardians Angels was a true pleasure. The author portrays Heaven exactly as I hope it will be. I loved the idea of people that have passed on being assigned as guardian angels. The story is about one such soul, Forenica, who is not assigned a baby like usual, but is instead assigned a grown woman, Angela, with many troubles in her life. Forenica's assignment is to help her through the struggles of life and to return safely to Heaven one day. This story is so touching and heartfelt. It also has a level of angst and suspense as the reader wonders if Forenica will truly be able to help Angela with her problems. There are some sticky moments where Satan's army looks like it will win.The thing that I'll remember most about this book, is that we can receive help from Heaven. We are not struggling here by ourselves. There were so many moments in this book that brought me to tears. You will be drawn to the wonderfully written characters, the angels and the humans on Earth. This sweet story is one that you will want to share with those who need a "pick-me-up" from the drudgery of life. Whatever religion you participate in, if you believe in God and angels, this book will be an inspiring read for you.

Diary of an Angel by Michael M. Farnsworth is a book about guardian angels and faith.Forencia is guardian angel in training and she is ready for her first assignment. Usually an angel in training is assigned to a newborn, but not this time.Forencia's first assignment is Angela Higgins, wife and mother, whose family seems to be the ideal family but very soon cracks start to appear soon after Forencia is assigned. The family experiences an unexpected crisis and it's starting to tear the family apart. Angela thinks if she has faith and believes in God nothing bad will happen to her or her family and now she questions her faith and belief in God. Forencia is searching heaven for a way to help Angela keep her faith and belief in God.I enjoyed reading Diary of an Angel because it reminded me to always have faith and believe in God.

**I got this book for free from Goodreads in return for an honest review! Thank you very much!**I have to say that I was very excited by the concept of this book and had very high hopes for it. My hopes were not exactly fulfilled. The author was kind enough to personally sign the book and write in a kind word, which I appreciate, so it was a nice beginning. :)Anyhow, my biggest disappointment is that I know NOTHING about the narrator. I soon found out that this was a more "get to know God and God's love" kind of book as opposed to a fictional, fun novel. That isn't to say it doesn't have its moments; it's just not what I was expecting. I was expecting, somewhere in the novel, for there to be SOMETHING about Forenica - how she died, what she was like as a person, ANYTHING personal. There is a very quick mentioning in the end about her "pre-mortal" life and that's it. As a result, I really didn't give a flying fig about this completely one dimensional character; the author did nothing to make me feel anything for her at all. Also, the plot just seemed really rushed. You get the feeling there's going to be some gigantic terrible disaster that happens, something that really tries the family and there are a few things, but you don't really FEEL them. A few pages later and that disaster is gone, with hardly any suffering being shown. It's one thing to state "they were sad and angry about the changes in their lives" and another to make me feel it. I didn't feel anything; it all came across as rather flat to me. "Here is a cookie cutter family with their cookie cutter problems. POOF! There's a solution and we're all happy again!" After not learning much about our narrator, not caring about Angela, who goes from being 30-something to geriatric in a matter of 10 pages or so, we watch Angela die and GAME OVER. What a disappointment. So, Forenica has no personality AND no family or friends from her earthly days, since obviously some of them must have died by the time this story ends and yet, she never makes any mention of them. She must have been a real jerk on earth if no one gives her the time of day in heaven. Please, give me something more with Forenica's story!! Give me some more battles with the demons, the daily life in the Higgins' family and their feelings and struggles; make me CARE!Also, I noticed at the end of the story, there were quite a few errors, as if everyone just got bored with editing it and decided to give up earlier. A few words transposed; a you're/your confusion. Now, all this being said, I'm actually disappointed that I couldn't like it more. I really wanted to and was looking forward to this. There were two scenes in the book that were tearjerkers for me - the scene where Forenica brings Lily to see Angela, and when Angela goes running to see Jack and Lily once she passes through to heaven. I can't imagine living without my son, so I think this is why those two scenes hit me so hard. Two moving scenes stuck in 156 pages. This could have been executed much better. Overall, I left this book wishing there was about 100 more pages of more detail stuck in here.

I love to read about angels interacting with people. This book gives us a glimpse into the life of an angel. It's not all sitting on a cloud playing a harp all day. This is a book of fiction and does not remotely resemble what the Bible says about angels. But it's a good story. It makes you wish you had a guardian angel to watch over you. I, personally, believe I have a guardian angel. I just don't believe I got it the way this book describes. The ending is very poignant. It will keep you thinking about it for some time.

Better than what i expected I have read this book twice! Enjoyed it both times. This story was based on "angels" in Heaven being sent to earth as guardian angels. The family that the book is about is your typical family... Dad, mom, and three kids. They are not happy, but they learn to love each other again and keep going! Enjoyable, clean, well-written book! Highly recommend!

Good readI enjoyed this story, although I disagree with the premise that we can become angels after death. Angels are created beings, God's messengers ,which may,on occasion, speak to humans. The writing was well done and, for the most part, grammatically correct. Only one error stood out. All right is 2 words, not one.

O, What a Day that Will BeI'm not sure it's all spiritually accurate, but it certainly is an amazing glimpse of the future that awaits us.

All in all, a well written, uplifting, imaginitive and touching story. Though not life altering for me, it made me a better and happier person to read it.
