4.5 Snarktastic StarsI'm kind of a fickle bitch when it comes to book boyfriends. I like to play the field. But it's not often I come across a super special lady I'd like to make my own, BFF style. Maggie is that fictional woman. Smart, honest, drama free and sarcastic as hell. Tyler was all kinds of awesome and I loved these two together. The drama found in this book came from actual events being played out, not miscommunication that could easily be rectified or one character thinking they just weren't worthy of the other's love. Repeat. These two were honest and open from the beginning (or at least after the middle finger pirate booty incident) and I sooooo needed that. The sexual tension and subsequent sexy times gave it that extra HOT I wanted. On to Ava and Sam's story next. Thank you, ARC fairy for that blessed gift!ETA: I'm changing my initial rating from 4 to 5 Stars. Yep, I liked this one just that much!

3.5 StarsThis one wasn't bad. Not so good vibrations when Tyler and Maggie first met. He was a bit of a dick to her. She didn't want a steady relationship. He did ... but not with her ... and for very different reasons. Eventually they become friends. But sexual tension creeps in. Will they, won't they? If they do, can they still be friends.I liked Tyler. Smart, sexy, charming, sarcastic.I really liked Maggie. She was no-nonsense, straight up, solid. She had been hurt in the past and was not willing to go down that road again.Don't think I have read anything by this author but I will be checking out more of her books.Ava's story should be interesting.

DNF at 20%This very well may be a case of "it's not you, it's me," as I've been in one huge book slump. Nothing seems to spark my long term attention or interest. This book I set down for two days and each time I picked it back up, I was lost to the plot so ended up backtracking over and over. So, I'm calling it quits. I loved the second book in this series and thought I'd enjoy hearing Maggie's story. Apparently not. Looking forward to book three in the series, however. Hoping it's the elusive Ford's book!

4 holy-sexual-tension Stars!Sharp dialogue, readable prose, interesting characters -- it hit all the right points for me. Tyler recently upended his life in New York to move to Chicago to get back his ex-girlfriend and a son that wasn't his biologically but loved nonetheless. He moved into Maggie's apartment building. Maggie, being a good neighbor welcomed Tyler with a plate of cookies and Tyler totally misread the situation and ended up insulting Maggie. I just loved all the characters except Gina of course. I totally got the Singles vibes in this book with the whole apartment building set-up. Maggie had a heart breaking back story which totally explained why she shies away from any serious relationship. Tyler also had shitty luck when it comes to his love life. The only bright spot was his son who turned out to be not his because his ex totally cheated on him. He was willing to give his son everything including staying with his son's mother instead he lost him when his ex decided to play house with her new boyfriend who happens to be his boy's real dad. My heart just broke for him. Overall, I really liked this book and I hope that this will turn out to be a series because I'm interested to know more about Maggie and her neighbors!

4 Cookie-licious StarsARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Maggie Lawson is still against any kind of relationship three years after she learned that the man she was about to marry, was not only already married, but he also had kids, in a very public and very humiliating way. But then her best friend someway traps her in a stupid dare to go out on at least one date a month. Maggie cannot afford the steap price of losing a month so when her date cancels at the last moment she is forced to go out with Appartment Three, also known as Tyler, the hot but completely rude guy from the next floor.Tyler has come to Chicago for one reason only. To get back what he once had. For that to happen he can't afford to get into a relationship, something that becomes more and more difficult when faced with Maggie. She is everything he could ever want, from her spanky perconality, to her knack for baking cookies. She is also everything he can't have if he could ever hope to get back Charlie, the little kid he thought was his for a year.Still, the attraction between them only seems to grow and since neither of them wants a relationship what's the harm with fooling around for a bit?I was very surprised that I enjoyed this book so much. The consept is really nothing all that original but I enjoyed what ML Kelly brought on the table. For one thing, this a NA book where the heroine actually knows what she wants to do with her life. She has a life plan, she has the funds for it, and when that doesn't go so well she finds a new solution. For a second,in the book, although there is a HEA, everything doesn't go all well and rosy. (view spoiler)[I thought that Tyler would manage to get Charlie back. This is fluff, in fluff everything conspires for the hero to win. But nope, no magic solution there. (hide spoiler)]I also liked the fact that although there were secrets between them, the hero revealed them before they went to bed together. There wasn't some crazy showdown in the end that the heroine learned it from a stranger or by looking at his phone. And the fact that Maggie was so supportive and never whined or tried to keep him was also much to her credit. My only issue was the writing. It wasn't all that bad, but it was confusing at times. References that flew over my head, some lines that I had no idea what they meant, stuff like that.PS. I can't wait for Sam's and Ava's book!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

3.5 UST-filled, sentimental starsI thought it was going to be a light-hearted story with a bit of snark – which I always find highly entertaining. And while it certainly starts out that way, the story took a turn which changed the whole feel of the book for me. The sexual tension was still very much present, and played out fantastically, but there’s a lot of heart to this story, and I thought the whole thing was tied together really well. Maggie has had bad luck with relationships, so has retreated to the safety of life without romantic entanglements. Her “tranquil little corner of Platonia” which is safe, reliable, and stress-free. She has a job she loves, a clear career path and a fantastic group of friends, and she is content with her life. When Tyler moves into the apartment upstairs, his immediate antagonism towards her rocks her happy little life a bit, but she brushes him off, and soon the two settle into an existence of teasing, snark, and witty putdowns. But as much as he aggravates her, Maggie can’t stop thinking about “the antagonistic jerk who’d been her best bickermate since the day he moved in”.And just to make things extra interesting, Maggie’s best friend, Ava, is tired of the single life and has roped Maggie into a pact where they each must have one date per month, going in with an open mind and honestly exploring the opportunity of something ‘more’. And when one of Maggie’s dates leaves her high and dry, it’s her annoyingly sexy neighbour that ends up coming to her rescue. I will admit, the whole ‘must date’ premise is a little bit stupid, but as a plot device it works as a way to progress Maggie and Tyler’s relationship, and it works beautifully as they actually get to know each other, become friends, and then, of course, it’s not too long before the chemistry between them morphs into sexual tension that has them both panting for each other, and had me grinning with each little encounter. And oh holy hell, it’s hot! These two are on fire! Neither of them want a relationship, but they are open about their attraction, and when they agree to do the whole ‘let’s embrace the chemistry and get this out of our system - no strings attached’ thing, the sexy time is steaming!“Just once. Wouldn’t it feel good to let go? Knowing we’re on the same page about tomorrow?” “Maggie. I don’t want to use you.” “What if I use you first?” And there was that single arched brow, the teasing smile, and challenge mixed with a breathless sort of anticipation he couldn’t ignore. “What if I use you harder?” “Maggie,” he warned, though the only thing she was going to get if she kept it up was exactly what she was asking for. “Tyler,” she mimicked sternly. Then, meeting his eyes with the calculating look that had gotten to him all those months in the hallway, she added, “I’d totally use you harder.” And that was it. He was done. But Tyler has a secret in his past – one that is keeping him away from exploring a relationship of any kind. And well played, Ms Kelly! This sort of storyline can be annoying, but I really liked this one. It was unique, it was completely understandable, Tyler came right out and told Maggie about it so she knew what the situation was, and honestly, it just made me fall for him more. What an amazing guy! But when the moment comes for their ‘fling’ to stop, both of them realise that they have fallen for the other, and letting go isn’t going to be as easy as they originally thought. I love this relationship! There’s no game playing, they are both completely straight with each other about how they are feeling, and what their expectations are, and the drama and conflict is all external to what is going on between them. And OMG, I felt it! Every little moment of it! I could understand both sides of the story, and I admire the two of them so much for how they handled the situation! It is heartbreaking, but also beautiful, and I loved watching it all play out! And just when I thought I had the ending all figured out, I actually ended up being surprised by it, but I thought it was perfect for them. I really enjoyed this book! It’s fun, it’s sexy, there is drama which is handled really well, and of course the romance is gorgeous. The story is told in dual POV, and it does flip around a little bit, but I really liked getting to see both sides of the story. Maggie’s friends are also a highlight. They are as close as friends can be, all living on top of each other, in each other’s lives, and sharing quips and constantly teasing, they are so funny, but they also genuinely lovely each other, and are always there for one another. I’m really looking forward to getting to know them more as the series continues. This was a great read. Light and fun with a bit of sexy time and a lot of heart. I really liked it3.5 stars.

3.5 - "Apartment Three, whatever you're offering. I'm interested."Truth or Dare is the first book I have read by Mira Lyn Kelly, it won't be my last. I really enjoyed her fresh, fast paced writing. The banter between the characters and the one liners was some of the best I have read for a while.Tyler Wells gave good date. What begins as a series of one off dates for Maggie and her friend Ava turns into something so much more when the new guy upstairs turns out to be more than just an annoying albeit hot new neighbor. It turns out Tyler has more going on in his life than just moving cities for work, and as his relationship with Maggie develops beyond the friends-with-benefits they initially agreed upon you begin to see a guy stuck between trying to do the right thing, and what is right for him.One kiss would never be enough. The man had skills.I liked this book, the first 60% kept me fully invested in the story. It did fizzle a little in the second half, I struggled to completely believe the whole Gina situation, and Maggie's somewhat easy acceptance of it. Tyler inevitably does the right thing, which I liked, and the epilogue rounded things off nicely for them.Looking forward to reading the next book in the series Touch & Go, this is Ava's story (Maggie's best friend) and I love nothing more than a friends to lovers story.ARC generously provided via Netgalley, in exchange for the above honest review.

This book was sexual tension central and I love me some good sexual tension! :)I really enjoyed it, more than I thought I was going to cause I've been reading some meh books lately. I loved both the hero and heroine in this.Tyler was sexy and he knew it. When he first moved to Chicago, he was stressed dealing with things he wish he didn't have to, when a girl was at his door with a plate of cookies. Being the irresistible God that he knows is, he immediately assumed that she was there to bribe and proposition him."Christ, I don't need this. Look Apartment Two, whatever you're offering, I'm not interested."Maggie was burned in a past relationship that has her sworn off of any relations of any kind. She has her friends and that's enough for her. When a new neighbor moves into her apartment complex, she decides to do the neighborly thing and bake him some cookies to welcome him. When she shows up at his apartment, she's met with a wide open door, and blaring hard rock. She found herself transfixed on the sight before her because wow. Just wow. Until she was caught and then addressed."What I'm offering? So we're clear here, Apartment Three..." Maggie tucked the milk into the crook of her elbow and folded the plastic wrap back from the plate, infusing the air around them with the pure essence of melted chocolate, toasted oats, and the rich, buttery goodness of family recipe so sacred, only three people in the world knew it. Selecting the biggest one, Maggie lifted it to her mouth and bit, chewing with deliberate relish. "...is my suggestion you look over your rental agreement regarding noise polution and turn your music down. Or at least close your - " The door swung shut in her face. And that's when the banter begins. This book was so fun, flirty and at times, hilarious. I really enjoyed Maggie's character because even though she went through some tough, deprecating stuff, she didn't completely seclude herself and become this weak woman with no self-respect. She still fought when she felt necessary, and she did plenty of that with Tyler ;). Tyler's character was enjoyable because, well, he's hot. And he knows it. And yea, that's about it. Just kidding. Not really but really. He has this desire to be a father to his son that he took care of for the first year of his life, only to find out he wasn't his real son. And yet he was still doing everything he could to stay in this child's life. Even if it meant putting up and dealing with his semi-crazy ex.All in all, very enjoyable read! This is a def-rec for me. I look forward to this author's next books!

~~3.5 Hearts~~I felt some similarities to The Neighbor from Hell with this book. The cookie loving guy and the sexual tension it was all a little too familiar. But not as funny as The Neighbor from Hell but I still enjoyed it. The sexual tension in this book was filled to the brim. Was Truth or Dare a great title for this book? IMO, no. I understand the pack but what Truth or Dare aspect did they have to face?Maggie vows to swore off men since her recent attempts at commitment ends badly. So her best friend tries to get her back in the dating world, so they start a year-long dating game. They have to score a new date each month or pay a penalty.Tyler was witty, funny, charming, and the neighbor in 3A that just moved in upstairs. He uprooted his whole life trying to please his ex-girlfriend so he can be a part of his son’s (which he thought) life. I didn’t like that situation too much. I understand that he saw the kid as his own but I don’t see trying to appease his crazy, cheating, unreasonable ex in any and every way helps the kid out any. I felt sorry for Tyler and how he was strung along by his ex. I felt like he was just a doormat at times. There was a lot of unnecessary drama. I did enjoy the playful banter between Maggie & Tyler.

3 Stars...! The story probably deserves a 4.5 star rating but I couldn't connect with the writing. This was my first book of the author and she just didn't work for me.The story was a good one. I liked their banter, the concept, the gang. I liked Maggie, Tyler, Ava,Sam, Ford. I'm actually looking forward to Sam and Ava's book. But the author explains each detail so explicitly that it gets borderline boring. I skipped a few passages and at the end I was just rolling to finish the novel. And I was really disappointed with the ending. You know the feeling when you feel like you heard something and pick up a cricket bat just in case whereas it turns out to be nothing? That's how sapping the end was. It was abrupt and didn't appease me. But this could all just be me and you could love the bobook. So if you like a fun contemporary romance. The enemies turned lovers type? Then be sure to pick it up.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the scene where Maggie and Tyler meet. The banter between these characters is witty but also has some hot sexual tension. I love Maggie's group of friends. While I did really enjoy this book, I had a few small issues with Tyler. I did not agree with some of the choices he made and because of this I found him to be frustrating at times. Overall, this book was sexy, had great witty banter and had some really sweet moments. The supporting characters are really interesting and I am really looking forward to reading more in this series. **ARC provided in exchange for an honest review*

Truth or Dare was my first novel by Mira Kelly but will definitely not be my lastYears ago Maggie was in a relationship which has left her broken hearted at the alter. since than she has not felt the need to be with a man. she has her friends with whom she shares a apartment complex and enjoys life at its fullest. Life is good till Tyler moves in Apartment Three and with that her peaceful and quiet life changes.Tyler moves (hopefully) temporary into the apartment complex to get his life back on track and regain his lost past. He and Maggie have immediate chemistry - but in a good way, at least at firstTheir move from "enemies" to friends to lovers is one of the most romantic, sizzeling and soulfull stories I ever read. Their banter is so funny that I had to laugh out loud several times, the chemistry between them is hot and sizzeling and their feelings really deep. both characters have their secrets, their scars from their past and their hopes for the future. both have their reasons not to trust easily and why they behave like they do. the wonderful thing in this story is, that it is not the typical story about "falling in love, have a misunderstanding, come together again". this story is heart-wrenching but also full of hope and has much more depth than a lot of contemporary romances.together with their friends, Ava, Sam and Ford this is also unbelievable funny.I really, really loved this book and can't wait to read more stories about these characters and really hope that Mrs. Kelly won't have us wait too long for the stories of the other three.all in all, this was sweet, funny, romantic, gut wrenching and Hot .... nearly perfect .... I loved it! Disclaimer: I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for an honest review

The first scene in Truth or Dare opens with the heroine, Maggie Lawson, doing the neighbourly thing by bringing a fresh-baked cookies to the new guy in the building. He happens to be our hunky hero, Tyler Wells. Unfortunately, the reception she receives is less than friendly. Okay, it’s downright surly.Only then the guy raked a hand through the damp mess of his hair and blew out a strained breath. “Look, Apartment Two. Whatever you’re offering, I’m not interested.”And so sets the tone of the beginning of the book. I loved it! Nothing like a surly hero who is, at some point, going to have to apologize for his behavior. Of course Maggie can’t stand him now. And who can blame her. I didn’t. His subsequent apology falls on deaf ears and her “caustic” response then sets the tone for their interaction over the following months. The only thing I wish here is that readers were witness to that scene instead of Tyler reminiscing about it after the fact.Over the next five months, they exchange a litany of barbs whenever they come in contact. Something they both secretly enjoy. I laughed at this scene where they poke fun at each other’s lack of a love life.“…And what is this I hear about you and Rosie Palms?” she asked with a pointed nod at his hand, the saccharine sweetness all but dripping from her fangs. “Picking out rings, already?”…“Yeah, well, we’ve been exclusive for a while now,” he said, holding up “Rosie”, his right hand, and giving in to a grin as he started up the stairs. “Time to make an honest girl of her.”But as you can imagine, beneath the surface of their barbs is a sizzling attraction that neither will acknowledge but just won’t quit. It’s when Tyler becomes friends to her friends in the building that they decide to become “friends”.Snort. Yeah, right. There’s no way that’s going to happen. I know it and they should have known it too but I love watching as they come to the realization that the just friend thing is so not going to work between them.Unfortunately, all those plans started circling the drain as soon as her eyes landed on the stubble rough, untucked and comfortably worn packaging of a guy who wasn’t looking at her like a friend at all. Because friends didn’t do that full-body slow, burning sweep with their eyes that ended with them staring at the other’s mouth. When they finally succumb, the sex between them is hot. Love it. And there’s so much more than just the sex that makes it hot but the emotion in it. Those are the kinds that make for the best love scenes. But Tyler is determined that nothing can really happen between them because he’s not “available” for a relationship with anyone. I won’t tell you what that is, but it wouldn’t give any woman a reason to hope for anything serious. So they vow that’s the first and last time. The problem is, knowing there’s no future in a relationship between them and accepting that. Both try… to no avail.“I’m sure,” she gasped, her hands sliding up and down the hard contours of his chest. “This is sex. No expectations. Just two people taking advantage of an opportunity they seldom see.”Beyond a well-developed, tension-wrought and surprisingly deep love story, Mira Lyn Kelly introduces a wonderful cast of characters in Truth or Dare. Her best friend, Ava and her brother, Ford—who is their collective landlord—and Sam, a general man-whore, are characters whose stories I want now. Kelly gives you just enough about them individually to peak your interest but not so much that their lives take away from the Maggie and Tyler’s romance.Overall, I absolutely loved this book. And I’m champing at the bit for February 17, 2015 to arrive when we’re going to get Ava and Sam’s story in Touch & Go! YAY!!! I just read the blurb. I was hoping they’d get together.Reviewed by BeverleyHeat Level: Hot

Truth or DareMya Lyn KellyThis ARC was given by Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.I give this book 4 stars.......It has been three years since Maggie has felt the need to be with a man. Her last relationship literally left her broken hearted at the alter. It was a doomed relationship based on lies and deceit. Now, three years later she finds happiness and content in her best friends that share the same apartment complex. Honestly, the plot gives me a "Friends" déjà vu and there is a lot of Rachel and Ross and Monica and Chandler scenarios happening in this quaint apartment building in Chicago. Maggie and her best friend Ava, find comfort in hanging out with their best friends (male) Sam and Ford. They find laughter, comfort, and even back-up dates (when required) amongst each other. Life seems comfortable and good until "Apartment Three" (aka Tyler) moves in and Ava challenges Maggie with a dare. Both Ava and Maggie, must go on one date per month and be open to finding a man that might be "the one." As ridiculous as it sounds, Maggie accepts the dare and ends up finding more truth than a dare when she realizes what she has been missing out on by not being in a relationship. Tyler's move into apartment three is hopefully a temporary one. His past relationship was based on the ultimate deceit and heart break, but he lives his daily life with unbroken promises and the hope to regain his lost past. Unfortunately, this means there can be no beautiful neighbors like Maggie distracting him from his future. However, her sweet smiles, warm laughter, soft curves, and sugar and spice smell is all too alluring to keep her away for too long. Aware of her dare and dating arrangements, he decides to give in to temptation and kiss the girl from apartment two. What is one kiss? Well, of course a kiss is never just a kiss....I really enjoyed the friendships and relationships that are involved in this book. Tyler is a good man that truly tries to stay away from Maggie and do what is right. Maggie is kind and sweet and you really want her to have her HEA. The friends, Ava, Sam, and Ford add laughter and humor into this romance. I look forward to reading the next book Touch & Go. *** No cliffhangers!

Authors, study this book if you want a detailed lesson in sexual tension. The push and pull between these characters as they grow closer, but not too close, is anxiety inducing in a delicious kind of way. I thought the writing was strong, I've enjoyed some of Kelly's other books, but this one felt tighter in some ways. Still, there was something about these two that didn't tug at my heartstrings. While the romantic conflict kept me turning the pages, it was also completely contrived. Maggie's internal conflict -- having been unknowingly engaged to a married man, and called out by his pregnant wife -- has understandably made her swear off dating. But something about her continued persistence to being closed to any real dating possibilities rang a little false. Maybe we didn't get enough of her true personality for this to feel like an organic decision and not just something the plot needed to have happen. And as for Tyler, we don't find out his mysterious reasons for not wanting a relationship until about 44%, and they're kind of weird. Sweet, but weird. Here the difficulties of creating convincing romantic conflict in a contemporary romance are evident. His situation is different, I'll grant you that, and makes him basically beyond perfect as a hero, but still struck me as ... well, weird. The surrounding group of friends that Maggie has is both entertaining and mystifying. Platonic besties Ford and Sam are around a lot, but we only really ever get to know Ava, and I still couldn't quite pin her down. The characterizations left too many empty spaces, so they never felt fully formed. That's probably why I almost put it down half way through, but the Tyler revelation pulled me the rest of the way and it was a nice way to spend a few hours. I'm down for the sequel (the hero and heroine of which I totally called way early).

I so enjoyed this book!!! Incredible tension, a great cast of characters - undoubtedly all ready for their books -- some very funny moments and lines (friends don't let friends take their wine home in a baggie!) And some really gooey emotional conflict. Totally enjoyed this!!

Mira Lyn Kelly is back and this time she proves that when playing the age old game of truth of dare, you always pick dare! That is unless you meet the love of your life, then all dares are off the table and the truth is what shall set you free. We meet Maggie Lawson, her one attempt at commitment has ended with the discovery that her fiance already has a wife and kid, and therefore she vows that the only people she'll ever love till death do us part are her friends. Unfortunately for Maggie this gives her best friend the perfect opportunity to rope her into a year long dating dare. It's as easy as score a new date each month or pay a penalty, no biggie. Until Maggie's date for the month stands her up, leaving her one option only, grab recently moved in upstairs Mr Hotter than hot Tyler beg him to take her on a date and voila , score for that month complete and penalty avoided. The only problem: Tyler and Maggie have had some serious arguments and cannot seem to stop fighting at all about everything! And then there's the fact that Tyler would rather focus on getting his selfish ex back in order to reclaim the child he once thought was his and he needs to keep the frustrating as all hell, but so much more tempting Maggie out of his bed and that is a challenge all on it's own because he wants her and he wants her bad! Before you can say truth of dare these two reach a crossroad, it's time for a new kind of dare : real, forever love. Fabulously hot sexual tension , riveting emotion and kick ass conflict, this book had it all! I adored the character of Tyler. A really honest to goodness nice guy always doing the right thing even when it hurts like hell. I fell hook line and sinker for this hero from the start go. Through his character the author showed it is always best to do the right thing, yes it hurts and afterwards you wish you never did it in the first place but somewhere along the line it's going to pay off. The trick is to be able to know when to hold out for that moment to arrive instead of simply just doing the opposite of what you know is right so that it does not hurt so bad. The character of Maggie was really fun, I liked her feisty spirit and get go attitude even though she had been let down in the past she still pushed for what she knew she had to have. Of course as we all know being hurt in the past does not make it a smooth ride at all and therefore I could identify with her insecurities. Through this character the author showed we all get moments of doubt but when you love someone that love is always stronger than the doubt and can be overcome. I am taking away a message of life has a way of daring us to get out there and take on the unexpected, it results in happiness and sadness in the end you either win or lose but either way you will know you tried and that is more than what other's ever do. Dare to believe ! I highly recommend this off the charts hotter than hot, sharp and funky dialogue, excellent plot , delicious tension and passionate read for all fans of romance. It's a romance with quite the kick that you will never forget!5/5 star review " Truth: They want each other bad, Dare : How long can they resist each other?"

Maggie loves her life just the way it is. After a heartbreak that not only crushed her world but the people she cared about aswell, she has sworn off dating and love. In return she has a group of friends she adores, a job that has the potential to become her everything for her future and a home close to those she loves. Perfect. What she didn't count on was her best friends sudden interest in dating. Or the fact she gets tricked into agreeing to go along with it, one date a month or you pay a penalty. She also didn't count on Tyler. Her sexy, mysterious new neighbor that just happens to be the one man that can get on her nerves better than any other. He has secrets, she can see it in him but the question is how big those secrets are?Tyler never knew a neighbor could affect him like this. He loves riling her up and p*****g her off. She is beautiful though and that is the type of thought he needs to stay away from. He can't afford to leave her get to close. He can't offer her anything. He lives day to day waiting for a woman he can't stand to call him so he can drop everything to go be with her. Why? Well that is a f****d up story. But necessary. But these feelings for Maggie aren't going anywhere anytime soon. When Tyler and Maggie start mixing in the same circle and spending more time together than passing each other in the hall throwing insults around, it's obvious their attraction is strong. And not exactly wanted by either of them. As the tension increases between them something has to give and surely one night together will do no harm will it? They can be adults, satisfy their needs then forget about it and carry on as friends right? No. Things get more complicated for the pair as feelings grow, secrets revealed and the absolute truth that they can never be laid bare. Add the 'other woman' to the equation and their future looks non-existent. But can two people really meant to be together find a way even though everything seems to be going against them?I loved this book. The story is brilliant with a touch of drama, a few gasp out loud moments, heartbreak and tears, anticipation, surprise and of course romance. Will admit I fell a little in love with Tyler. My heart broke for him and in a weird way understood exactly his reasoning behind the things he did and how he saw they were right. The chemistry between him and Maggie was hot and I loved them as a couple. Maggie was a strong female lead that made me laugh and cry. I felt for her when things were going wrong and routed for her throughout. I loved the fact she didn't get walked over and that she had sense to walk away when needed and not act like a door mat because of love. You got the anticipation of before, the joy when they were together, the heart break when they were apart and finally the satisfaction of a HEA. None of it felt rushed and flowed easily together. A highly recommended read that I will read again and again. Looking forward to book 2 although I don't know if it is continuing Maggie and Tylers story or whether it will focus on the other brilliant characters we are introduced to in the first.I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

**Received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**"Truth or Dare" is written by Mira Lyn Kelly, and it is the first book in her Dare to Love series. This story features Maggie Lawson and Tyler Daniels.Maggie has been heartbroken before. But she agrees to go along with her friend, Ava's dare -- have a new date each month or there will be a penalty. One month, Leo aka Hot Doc stands Maggie up. He can't leave work. What is she going to tell Ava?Tyler and Maggie haven been arguing ever since he first moved into the building. They banter over the cookies Maggie refuses to share with him. They throw gibes at one another when they run into each other in the stairs. But despite their constant arguing, there is that underlying chemistry between them. Tyler sees Maggie was stood up, so he offers her his proposal -- go out with him. She agrees.Their first date was unexpected. Maggie didn't think he would take her to a bowling alley, but she found it refreshing. She realizes that she kind of likes Tyler. She's also starting to wonder about the pact she agreed with Ava. Can she continue along with these dares?I absolutely adored Tyler and Maggie! Their chemistry was sizzling, and Tyler was completely swoonworthy! I've read so many romance novels, and honestly, the plot to "Truth or Dare" was different from the typical romance novels I've read. It kept me on the edge of my seats. One thing I really liked about Tyler was his loyalty. Readers will find out the real reason he stayed in Chicago. You can't help, but admire him for it."Truth or Dare" was such a wonderful book! I highly recommend it! You will love Tyler and Maggie, and you will love Maggie's friends! So glad the next book in this series, "Touch & Go", will feature Ava and Sam's story!

I was given an ARC of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest review. Every once in a while you get a book that seems to stand out from all the rest and this is definitely one. This is the story of Ty and Maggie, two people not looking for a relationship because of their past. Two people who have chemistry from the moment they meet, despite the first exchange of angry words between them. Thrown together they eventually succumb and then the real fireworks start. This is a fun, quirky, emotional love story where the volley of wit and sexual innuendo’s will keep you entertained till the very end. Ms. Kelly slowly develops the characters, peeling away the layers one chapter at a time. Add to it the side kick friends who hopefully she will continue with in sequels. Either way the story stands alone and yet leaves you wanting more. A definite read!

"Waiting for one woman's relationship to fail so he could pick up the pieces and hoping for another's to crumble because if he couldn't have her, he didn't want anyone else to, either" From their first encounter, I loved the banter between Ty and Maggie. My heart broke for the both of them. One had a heartbreaking past and the constant threat of another heartbreak. I shed tears for another amazing person who sacrificed their life for an innocent child. I love Mira Lyn Kelly's books because you fall in love with the characters and your heart feels their joys and their heartaches.

Loved it!! This is an incredibly well written story filled with great emotion. Lots of humor, angst, and sexy times. The group of characters are wonderfully developed and left you feeling like you had a new group of friends. The H/h, Tyler and Maggie, have a rocky start but whether either of them like it or not the attraction is there. However, past hurts and big secrets make a relationship impossible. This is a fantastic beginning to what appears to be a great series. Can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend this one for everyone.

I chose Dare Maggie and Tyler's twist and turns confused me at times. I confess to having a hard time finishing this one. Don't get me wrong it has it moments, hilarious ones at that but there something that made me want to stop reading.Fell for Tyler, he's sexy and he knows it. He's hot, sarcastic and sweet. Is it wrong for me to look forward Ford's story? ARC via Netgalley

Received an ARC for review from NetGalleyDon't get what the title has to do with the book. I think the Dating Pac would have been a better title. Tyler is pretty awesome, hot, sweet, sexy, sarcastic. Maggie was perfect for him. I hope the future books are her friends, Ava, Ford, Sam
