ARC received for honest reviewEver had one of those days? A career ender? No light at the end of the work tunnel? That's the kind of day Miranda has just had. In a crash on the stock exchange, she has lost $87 million of her clients money. So what's a girl to do? Get coffee of course! Lots of it and strong. And her is where he day changes. In the coffee shop she has an altercation with the barista, which turns into an altercation with the guy behind her. The Drop. Dead. Gorgeous guy in line. Not realising she might have looked a little like a freak, the handsome stranger offers the use of his private office to clean herself up.Miranda has always been the prim and proper looking librarian type, boring suits and hair in a bun. But not today. What can it matter, things can't get worse, right?? And all that coffee - I am sure I would have been all over the place drinking what she did Max has been in the background of his father's business since things went south while he was in his teens. Today is the day he takes control again. He has made some choices in the past that are still haunting him to this day, personally and professionally. When an offer to use his office to clean herself up turns into something a lot more steamy, who is he to say no? He has always got what he wanted, and this is no different. But after the most earth-shattering sex of his life, things are about to change. When Miranda realises that the sexy stranger is her new boss, she turns cold and professional with him. Or tries. I like that she is a Wall Street hard arse analyst, but when it comes to Max, she gets all flustered and acts like a teenager with a crush.I love that we see the softer side of her, and she becomes more human. She is attracted to Max, she wants him but knows professionally she can't have him.Max is all alpha male, but does not know what to do when Miranda fights their attraction.Add to the mix a vindictive ex and her family (seriously f&*ked up family there!!), a Wall Street scandal, hostile takeovers and a sexy as all hell couple and what you get is a great read. Market for Love had me hooked from the first chapter and I did not put it down until I had finished.

Miranda is a very conservative, very smart stock analyst who has a really bad day. She loses 80+ million dollars in one morning which completely throws her off track. She runs into a very attractive man in the midst of her crisis and ends up having mind-blowing sex with him. This is extremely out of character for her. Later she finds out that her erotic encounter occurred with the new owner of her company. Miranda struggles to figure out who she can maintain her professional career while she is discovering a lot of new things about herself. Max finds he is unable to keep himself away from Miranda and struggles to get closer to her until something happens to both of them and he feels that he needs to back away from their relationship for Miranda's safety and well-being. I liked how strong and smart Miranda is. She has been excelling in a male-dominated field for a long time, and it was great to see her realize that she could be herself a little more, and still be great at her job. Max was pretty wonderful for the most part- although it is always frustrating to me when someone feels like they have to keep secrets and hurt someone under the umbrella of "protecting them". They definitely had some serious adversity to overcome, and the villain in this story is completely horrible and evil. It was interesting to see how things got resolved, and I was hoping for the sakes of both main characters that they would be able to figure everything out. One thing that puzzles me is the cover. To me it gives a false impression of what a reader can expect. I know you can't judge a book by its cover, but sometimes I can't help it. I also think that a cover can give a general impression of the vibe of a book- and this cover and story just don't match for me. Overall, I enjoyed this book.

Stars: 3.5 - 4The story begins with Miranda who is having an awful day at work. She is a senior executive analyst at Maxwell Moore & Company. She has lost 87 million dollars for her clients and is completely devastated. She decides to go down to the buildings coffee shop and get three double espressos to help her cope with such a monumental loss. While there she meets an absolutely gorgeous stranger. One thing leads to the next and they are getting it on in a private office suite. Miranda doesn’t even know the stranger’s name which is so out of character for her. Turns out after her rendezvous with ‘Max’ (she found out his name after they finished) is actually a rendezvous with the new CEO of the company she works for…. Talk about embarrassing. I can’t even imagine having the type of morning that Miranda had… I would probably have to crawl under a rock and die. Max always gets what he wants though and right now his eyes are set on Miranda. Miranda is stubborn though and won’t let Max control her as he is used to doing. Max and Miranda start off very steamy but after a law suit appears from Max’s ex and Miranda’s arch nemesis things get a little rocky. Victoria is out for vengeance and has been for years. The journey that Max and Miranda is full of suspense wondering what will happen and what secrets are waiting to be revealed. Max’s number one priority is to protect Miranda because he loves her. Miranda loves Max too but can their relationship overcome the obstacle that Victoria has now thrown in their path?!?!?!The story was a great and quick read that kept you intrigued until the very end. I loved the epilogue and was glad to see the way the story played out. This story is like Cinderella but for a Business Woman.

Miranda is as straight laced as they come. For a young woman in the business world she starts out in the story looking like Super Nanny with her "severe bun", black suits, and uptight personality. She's had more than a bad day and it's only going to get worse. The one time she throws caution to the wind will cause the next few months to turn to hell on earth.Max has finally bought his father's company back. Choices he made years ago have plagued him, but they shaped the man he is today. When a gesture of goodwill turns to earth shattering sex, he's met his match. What happens though when your used to getting what you want easily and suddenly you can't?This book was an easy relaxing read. It wasn't too long of a read at 241 pages and honestly it didn't seem like it was that long because the story went by so quickly. This book is full of one event after another. There is no lull in this book to create boredom and the interaction between Miranda and Max is hilarious at times. I liked that Miranda's character could take the bull by the horns, but at the same time get flustered and become human. Max is an alpha male, but he truly doesn't know how to interact with a woman who fights his sexual whims. The sex between them is steamy, the story line is full of revenge, and it's a modern day business woman's fairytale. I rate this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This book is unique and draws the reader in from page 1. I found myself fighting sleep just so I could find out how what was going to happen next. With great characters and an intense plot that had me eager to find out what was happening next, it was a great read and I enjoyed it.Max and Miranda have an instant chemistry that you can feel from their first meeting. Max is sexy, persistent, and very used to getting his way. At first Miranda is very prim and a bit boring but she changes and comes out of her shell more as the story progresses. I really enjoyed them and drawn in and eager to keep ready so I could find out how they faired. With well written characters and a unique and intriguing plot line, I was instantly hooked. The world of finance and stocks (which I normally don’t care for at all) was easy to read about and blended well with the romance and hot steamy scenes to make a well rounded story. There’s even a bit of mystery. Great story and I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 stars!

This book was a highly emotional, roller coaster ride!! I found myself holding my breath on multiple occasions! I really enjoyed the characters and their immediate connection. Regardless of how little they knew about each other, and the fact that he’s the boss, they are so drawn together.I also enjoyed how the back story unfolded piece by piece, giving just enough to send your blood pressure through the roof! I won’t spoil the ending for you, but it was exactly as it should be! Feel free to check out more at http://joecoolreview.com.

***I received this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review.***Millions of money loss, hot sex with a stranger who turns out to be her boss, manipulative ex-girlfirend, hostile takeover, blackmail and did I mention HOT SEX. Market for Love by Jill Elaine Hughes has it all and then some. . Miranda is a straight-laced, conservative stock maket analyst who is at the beginning of the worst day of her life when she meet a stranger that she seduces during her coffee break. Turns out that stranger is her new boss Max. With Miranda's initial encounter with Max, her seamless normal life is turn upside down and changes Miranda in more ways then she every thought possible. I liked this book. The characters were well written and I was invested in their story. The book draws you in from the first page. There are a lot of laughs, emotional ups and downs as well as some twist and turns throughout the story. There is one particular twist within involving Max that I did not see coming. Definitely a WTF moment while reading. And it was great to see the dynamic between Miranda and Max while they navigate the feelings that they have for each other. I really enjoyed to fast-pace of the story. There really wasn't any dull moments. A nice surprise and a great read.
