Char's Review On Trinas Tantilising TidbitsPlease check out our full 5 star review here/2014/04/chars-review-on-ttt-for-break-you.htmlBreak You by Jennifer SnyderThis was given to us in exchange for an honest review by the author:This was my first book to read by Jennifer and I can tell you it will not be my last. Jennifer did an amazing job of writing in both the male and female point of views. The chapters went back and forth between the two main characters, Blaire and Jason each telling their thoughts. Jennifer was able to express the thoughts and feelings that Blaire and Jason were experiencing in such a way that I was able to feel what they were feeling. The characters were so like able, people I would call my friends.Blaire and Jason knew one another in High School, but both felt the other was unattainable. So they never became more than acquaintances seeing each other in passing through the hallways going to and from classes. The story takes place years after high school. Blaire is a CNA at a nursing home and going to the local college working on her Nursing degree. Her life revolves around work and studying.Jason is going to college in another state working on his degree in psychology. Jason left home right after high school to get away from all the sadness at home. His father had unexpectedly passed his senior year and he ran from the sadness going to college in another state. Leaving his mom alone to dwell in her sadness. While away his grandmother passes and this brings his mom into a deeper sadness. A year has passed since her death and his grandfather is now dying of a broken heart. He has been put into the nursing home where Blaire works and Jason has come home to help his mom get his grandfather’s house ready to sell. He realizes his mom needs him and that it was wrong of him to have left her to deal with the passing of his father. Finals are over and as a way to unwind Blaire’s two friend’s dragger her out to a party to celebrate. This is where she and Jason run into one another, Jason is home for a visit and his friend takes him to the same party. They end up talking to one another and both realize they are attracted to the person they once felt was unattainable in high school. This is the part of a review I hate… do I tell more of the story or do I leave it here. I hate to give up the whole story line, but I also hate to feel I have left you hanging. What I can say is that Blaire and Jason do date and reveal the way the felt in high school for each other. They have more than their fair share of obstacles that get in their way. All in all this was a great story and I would love to read more on Blaire and Jason. I see there is a book two of the Coldcreek Series and I am looking forward to reading the sequel.I without any reservations give this book a 5 start rating! Awesome job Jennifer, I look forward to reading more of your books.

Grace FitzgibbonEnglish 81/2/15Reading Review-Break You by Jennifer SnyderBlaire is a simple type of girl that is working hard for her dream of becoming a Doctor in the Medical world. She is determined and hardworking and ready to pass her exam. Until she meets her former high school crush and then her life flips upside down, her priorities change and her life becomes that much harder. Jason has always had a hard life losing his father and now his grandfather is extremely ill. Jason has never been stable because of loosing so much and he always relied on parties, drinking and girls to make things better. But when he meets Blaire he finally opens up and becomes a better person and realizes life is more than parties and drinking.Paige(Blaire’s best friend) is a girl that like to go out and have fun. She always encouraged Blaire to go out and have a good time. She sticks by Blaire the entire time even though being dumped by the love of her life. Paige is very optimistic and cheery which helped Blaire with her journey of love. Blaire Hayes is working at a nursing home preparing for her big medical exam that she has studied for a long time. Blaire likes to make things simpler for herself like not going to parties and bars and meeting up with friends on a typical night. However, tonight is going to be a huge change in Blaire’s life. Blaire learns a different side to Jason that she never knew about. A side that could affect her future and her simple lifestyle greatly.Blaire has never been challenged with this type of decision before, and if you ask me I don't think anyone should have to make this type of choice, because it seems like any way you turn your trapped. Blaire is choosing between her high school love and her career. If she chooses the wrong one she could regret it for the rest of her life. I personally enjoyed this book for many reasons. One of them being my favorite is that you should always follow your heart and do what inspires you because life is short and you should live every moment to the fullest. Second I thought that this book showed that you can learn from your mistakes and fix them to make things right. Finally, I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this book in many ways but my final thought is to live every second of your life the way you want to not your friends and family only you.

Received from the author for a honest review. I enjoyed this college age love story about two young college students who meet up again after being in high school many years before. Each have their own way of remembering their high school encounter. Blaine always like him and Jason always thought she was hot but never felt they were in the same league. 3 years later- We have the usual ups & downs & over thinking & no communicating - with some surprises the story is enjoyable.

Actual rating: 3.25-3.5/5 stars. It was good. It wasn't my favorite though. Her sisters husband is an ass. I like seeing Jason and Blair but they definitely had issues.

*Thank you to the author for providing the ebook in exchange for an honest review* Rating:3 out of 5 stars If you’ve been following my blog and my reviews for a while then you should know by now that I am a big fan of New Adult Contemporary Romance Novels. When I got the chance to review Jennifer Snyder’s Break You, I was all for it. It fits right in with the kind of books that I usually read. As I was reading it though, I found that it didn’t appeal to me as much as I hoped it would. I was tempted to put it down a few times and mark it as DNF, but I was determined to see it through to the end. After all, it did start out with a really exciting premise but it kind of fell short in the middle. It only picked up again during the last fifth of the book and then, to my disappointment, fell on a flat ending. What hooked me at the beginning was the idea of Jason and Blaire. Their story is one of a high school miss that was given a chance to become a hit in college. I’m an absolute sucker for those kinds of stories. I mean I cannot, for a fact, resist second chance romances! Another thing is that I can see a bit of myself in Blaire Hayes. She’s a bit more focused in school than most college students. She’s got good friends but she doesn’t usually go out partying with them. She’d rather stay inside and study (in my case, read books). I can sort of relate to her with that. Blaire is a woman who has somewhat become a bit disillusioned by the idea of relationships. She’s had her fair share of them but she hasn’t really gotten much out of her past relationships. Finding a boyfriend isn’t really high on her list of priorities. She’s got her eyes set on graduating and getting her nursing license. But Jason Bryant changed all that. Blaire and Jason has a history and it isn’t pretty. Jason used Blaire in high school to get with one of Blaire’s friends. He used to think that Blaire was so far out of his league that he did not even bother to pursue her. Little did he know that Blaire liked him that way as well. Fast-forward and they meet again at a college party. After Jason’s father died, he moved out to attend college at a Tennessee university. Now, Jason is back in town to help his mom take care of his sick grandfather. On his first weekend back, he gets invited to a party and was surprised to see Blaire Hayes again. One look at her and she’s already gotten under his skin. The same is true for Blaire. What follows after that night is a series of events that leads Jason and Blaire on a ridiculously emotional rollercoaster ride. Neither of them planned on having any long-term serious relationships. Sure, they’ve got this wicked attraction to each other but they were both content to play it out by ear and see where it goes. After one night of heated passion, they suddenly find themselves being thrust into a situation neither of them expected. Life threw them a curveball and they had no idea what to do with it. Jason and Blaire needs to figure out how to make their budding relationship work… because the stakes just got higher than they could have possibly imagined.Okay, so as much as I liked Blaire. I can’t help but seem to dislike Jason. I mean, I usually fall in love easily with book boyfies but this one is a bit of an asshole (and not in an endearing badboy way). I don’t understand how Blaire puts up with him sometimes. Jason Bryant is such a boy. All throughout the book, I was all but shouting at my e-reader, wanting to tell Jason to man up before he loses the girl. I liked the beginning of the story, Blaire and Jason’s history, the sexual tension... I even liked that major plot twist (even though I was already kind of expecting something like that). But, I must admit that the majority of the book went far too agonizingly slow for me. It only held my interest long enough to get me started. About a quarter of the way in, I was dying for some more action and drama. I was beginning to get bored. And for a book, that’s not a good sign. For me, Break You is not a flop, but it’s no page-turner either. The story could’ve been handled better. Its characters kind of lacked the emotional depth that the story needed. I found them a bit bland, particularly Blaire. Maybe it was because they could’ve used more character development. I appreciated the fact that we see another side to Jason: the vulnerable son/grandson that is a far-cry from they cocky asshole he makes himself out to be. I think that was a step in the right direction. If only the other characters were handled just as well, this would’ve been golden. What I disliked most about the book was the resolution of Jason and Blaire’s predicament. I could not understand why it happened the way it did. I guess it could also have been presented better. I mean, the story was already gaining momentum but instead of going out with an emotionally-crippling bang, it felt like a balloon slowly letting out air. I’m no writer but as a reader, we’ve come to expect what works and what doesn’t, right? I don’t get the rationale as to why that would happen to Blaire and Jason. I felt as if the events in the latter part of the book simply gave Jason and Blaire an out without giving much chance for resolution. I respect the author’s vision for Break You and even though it kind of fell flat for me, I still enjoyed reading it. It has a compelling premise and a storyline that as much as I wanted to put it down, I still felt as though I’d die if I didn't find out what happened to Blaire and Jason. I don’t regret reading Break You but it’s not something that I’d read over and over again. **************Check out this review and many more at- Between the Pages Book Blog - Like Between the Pages Book Blog on Facebook - Follow Between the Pages Book Blog on Twitter

When things get tough or a crisisensues, should you run? When problems arise and issues need solving do you have what it takes to get through the to the clear of day? Or will it allBREAK YOU??4 SUPER***** from The Bookista!!!!This is book #1 of the Coldcreek series. It can be read as a standalone and has an HEA. There is no cheating in this book. NOTE: This book is written in dual POV which is my absolute favorite! I really, really dislike spoilers - so if this review seems vague, that's why!I was really excited to read this book! I had read Control You - Book #2 in the Coldcreek Series - and couldn't wait to see how Jason and Blaire got to where they were. Blair Hayes is a nursing student and is a stickler for studying. Seems it's all she does - or wants to do. She doesn't go out much and has only had a few relationships. Blair had this over-the-moon crush on Jason when they were in high school. It was short-lived as Jason does something to really hurt her - only he doesn't realize it at the time. Blair is a loyal and trusting person. She gives and gives and when she can't give anymore - she gives again. She is always thinking about everyone else and really just focuses on her studies. She's that amazing girl-next-door that has no idea how great she is.Jason Bryant is a psychology major and is attending college a few states away when he gets the call that his grandfather was very ill. He, immediately, comes home because he feels he just can't leave his mom to deal with all of it. Jason has some making up to do in the small town. It seems he ran - or what looked like running - years ago when there was a similar crisis. He was younger, immature and really just didn't want to deal with it all. Jason really is a great guy - he's grown a lot in the few years he's been gone and he's even considering staying around. Jason is the hot guy everyone likes but he sometimes seems unapproachable. The ironic part - Jason thought of Blair as unobtainable and Blair had the enormous crush. Blair uses an opportunity to tell Jason what she thinks of him and he's floored that she felt that way and floored regarding his actions back then. He can't get her out of his head and he thinks she's till the same sweetheart he used to know in high school only now - she seems that much more unobtainable."Damn him. It was like sophomore year all over again and my stomach was filled with oversized butterflies in his presence."Jason can't stop thinking about her. He's used to getting pretty much what he wants, although not a total alpha, and what he wants is to get Blair Hayes to go out with him. He is sorry for what happened and wants her to get to know him.Blair is a stay-home kinda girl. She never, well hardly ever, goes out and definitely doesn't have many dates. But after seeing him and having him ask her to dinner - she can't get him out of her head either. I could really feel the shock and terror she had when she finally realizes that he wants to take her out.I really got a sense that Blair was nervous because she didn't go out often but also because she was nervous about the man he'd grown up to be. Was he going to reel her in, use her, then be done with her? Was he the man everyone in town said he was? He ran off before - will he do the same to me? She was extremely conflicted. Jason was just a persistent as a Jack Russell needing his toy. Things get super exciting as they start their relationship!!"I could tell she was struggling to hold them all in, to control how much she revealed to me about the way I was making her feel. This turned me on. I wanted to force her to let loose, to get so involved in how I was touching her and what I was making her feel that she forgot about the noises she made or the expressions that flitted across her face after each one."And I do mean they type of excitement that causes goosebumps and causes you to scream 'OMG' while your kids and husband look up to see what's the matter!! Their relationship progresses pretty fast but because of the circumstances, it never feels fast. The issues that the two face are real life decisions and that makes this book even better. It's terrific characters dealing with real world issues and having to make decisions based on what is best for them. How to move forward? What to do now that they have these problems and what is the best course of action to get what they both need. I truly enjoyed getting to know Blair, Jason, and the secondary characters.Jennifer Snyder, you did it again!!

He decided to move back, give his mother the support she badly needed this time. Partying was not supposed to be on his agenda – but the problems at home are suffocating him, he needed to unwind. She thought they were on the same page until a tagged picture of him appeared on her timeline. It was high school all over again. HIM – leading her on. After he explained his side, she decided to give it a try again. It started out with just having fun - but having fun have detrimental and serious consequences. Both of them have so much going on in their lives – are they both ready to face the new challenge fate thrown their way? Or one of them will cower out?The two of them – they’re complicated. Facebook was their only way of communication. And I think the social networking site plays a very important role in driving this two apart more than getting them together. There was a lot of misunderstanding and hang ups between the two. Jason made a lot of stupid decision I wanted to smack him with a book one time –But when he finally got back into his senses and decided to grow up – he can be great too. You can easily forget all the poor decisions he had made the previous pages. He was a bit scared (because growing up, especially the transition of becoming a man can be a little scary). But he handled everything quite well.As for Blaire, the decision she made with the problem was admirable. She could easily solve it by getting rid of it. Instead, she was ready to face the consequences of her actions – even if it was just her. It was brave thing to do.I like the novel, it was a roller-coaster read. There were times I hated it, then there were times when I liked it. It was a rough ride that can’t promise all the comfort of the usual read, Ill assure you that you will fall in love – but you can also get frustrated at times, and annoyed too. Your emotions will get mixed up. I was confused until I reached the final page – because that entire rollercoaster ride, those near-heartbreaking moments, our characters came out stronger, and better than ever. Both have come a long way – it was grand just watching them mature as I swipe through the pages. That, alone, had made me like Break You. ★ARC Copy was given in exchange for an honest review.★

**SHANYN'S REVIEW**Blaire is a girl who has her life together. She is going to college, while working at a nursing home. She studies hard, makes good grades, and wants certain things for her life. Jason is going to college, has a part-time job, and is living a little further from home, since he wanted distance from his small town once his father passed away. Blaire and Jason were friends in high school, and both had a secret crush on the other. Now, they are both in college, and run into each other at a party. When Jason decides he doesn’t want Blaire to slip away this time, he does everything he can to get a date with her. Blaire just wants Jason to know how he hurt her in high school, and won’t let it happen again. Jason finally does get that first date, and Blaire decides that during this date she will let down her guard, and have a little fun for once. That is when the story of Blaire and Jason really begins...“And that crippling question is: Why? That one, three-lettered word holds more power over our minds than any person could guess...This story comes from one of those moments…a moment when that all-consuming question becomes the only feasible thought possible.” Blaire and Jason have some problems communicating, and some Facebook pictures only make things worse. Then Blaire and Jason are hit with a big “present” from their only night together. Can Blaire and Jason make it work together? Especially when Jason is the kind of guy to run when he is needed?? Or will he stick around and be exactly who Blaire needs?? “’But, I still do intend to marry you someday, just so you know.’ I winked. Blaire’s cheeks flushed pink again and I chuckled at the effect my words had on her.” I really liked this book. It is a great, young love story, that I didn’t want to put down. Jason made me swoon a lot. He was your typical 20 something male, but there was just something so sweet and sexy about him. And, Blaire was the kind of girl who wasn’t going to let someone walk all over her. But, I really hoped that these two would be able to get over their communication issues and finally tell each other exactly how they felt. Some big “bumps in the road” happen for them, but I still found myself wanting them to work it through and come out happy on the other side. “I don’t buy that at all. Not even for a second. Bad things happen, Blaire, simple as that. There’s no rhyme or reason to it.” I found myself wondering if fate could give these two anymore to deal with, but sometimes it’s the hard times that pull people together. “You can’t live in the past, you have to continue forward, because you never know when everything might end.” I do hope that Jennifer writes a second book, I did feel like the end was a little rushed. I was left wondering about Blaire and Jason, and would really like to read more about them, and their families. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book for an honest review.I want to start off by saying that this was a cute read! I really like the plot as well as the character development. So here's what I thought while reading "Break You"Anytime I read a book, and find quotes that I think are noteworthy (deep, funny, ridiculous) I highlight them. One of my highlighted lines was when Blaire says "Seriously, Paige! I feel like shit right now. Dog shit that was ran over. Twice." I can just see me or one of my friends saying that! I thought it was hilarious. And I actually did feel like shit that day and it made me laugh out loud. Score 5 stars off the bat for Ms. Jennifer Snyder :)Here is what I liked:*I liked the cute banter between Blaire and Jason*I also LOVED Paige, she is the perfect best friend for Blaire* Like I stated above, I really did like the plot: I liked how they went to high school together and are now seeing each other in a different light, I like how he tried hard to talk to her more and looked her up on Facebook to speak to her, their connection to her work and how Jason stepped up when he found out Blaire was pregnant.*I also like a little drama in my books, so I liked the whole Marla fiascos. Here is what I didn't necessarily "Dislike" but what I would have liked to know more about:*I would have liked to know more about their past in high school*As much as I wanted to, I just couldn't root for him. I just kept waiting for him to MAN-UP, he just kept saying the wrong things at the wrong times, and it was just making me so irritable!*I did not like the ending :( I know Blaire and Jason's journey is not over, so when I saw there was a second book, I was excited! However, the 2nd book is not about Blaire and Jason :( But I'm anxious to see a little glimpse into their new lives in "Control You".Okay, here is my super negative Nancy about "Break You". If you have read any of my past reviews on Goodreads or my blog, you will know that covers are a big deal to me. I absolutely judge books by their cover, and this cover, I am not a fan. At first glance, Blaire's eyes appear to have no pupils..... I even had to have my husband look at it and say "Am I missing something here?"...but oooooh, her eyes are closed! Now it makes sense! The way her make-up is makes her eyes look a tad bit creepy. And the guy on the cover is just not Jason to me. If I would not have been the option to review this and saw this cover, I cannot say that I would have purchased it.SPOILERS**I did have a feeling that Blaire was going to end up preggo, I HATE when I figure a plot out, but it still didn't sway any feelings I had toward the book.All-in-all, I will give this book 3.5 stars. The way the author writes, keeps the story compelling and kept me wanting to know what would happen next. And that always makes me a happy reader :)

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. This was my first book to read by Jennifer and I can tell you it will not be my last. **** I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***Blaire Hayes and Jason Bryant were two high school friends who had feelings for each other but never acted on them. When they meet up again a few years later at a party, they are still attracted to each other, and they take the chance to act on these feelings.Break You was sweet, funny, romantic story that had some drama, was emotional at times, and had a prologue that left me wanting to read more. I liked both Blaire and Jason, I think Jason more than Blaire because that girl could be stubborn. Jason was a sweetheart, and I loved that he didn’t give up when it came to Blaire. They both had some issues, and they were frustrating at times as there was a few misunderstanding that left me rolling my eyes and shouting, “just talk to each other”. I did like that because this wasn’t a long book, it meant that the author didn’t drag the misunderstanding out for lots chapters. I had guessed where way the story was heading, but I was somewhat surprised by the twist it took, I didn’t see that coming, and my heart when out to both Blaire and Jason it also meant the story seem a lot more realistic, and I liked that. There were lots of great secondary characters that added to the story, and I have to say I felt that if the author is planning to add more books to this series then Blair’s flat mate Paige, and friend Lauren both could all have their own stories, especially Paige.I was surprised at the ending as the way things were going, and what with the time left on my Kindle I was sure it was going to end on a cliffhanger, but it didn’t which was good. However I did think it ended too soon as I don’t think their journey was over yet. So I’m hoping that maybe we will hear more about Blare and Jason in future books.Overall apart from how I felt about the ending I did enjoy Break You. It was a quick read, which I happily read in an evening. It was the first book I have read from Jennifer Synder, I would definitely read more from her as I liked the characters she created, her writing style engaging from the start. Break You is another book that I would recommend that you add to your TBR list.4 stars A couple of quotes "I kissed him and practically mauled him to death with my vagina” ~ Blaire "You can't live in the past, you have to continue forward because you never know when everything might end." I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Jason and Blaire have a history going back to their high school days, and after meeting up again at a college party, Jason wants Blaire. The chemistry is intense from the get go! Blaire, who is usually reserved and shy, flirts shamelessly! Jason tracks her down via FB and befriends her, then makes a bold move and asks her out to dinner and from there on its casual chat via FB that builds up to their actual date.Unknown to Blaire, Jason's grandfather is a new resident at the home where she works, and this sets his mind at ease. I feel for Jason because he's got so much to bear. His mother is going through a tough patch, and one can't blame her she's lost her husband and mother in a short space of time and her dad is busy dying of a broken heart :(Eventually Jason and Blaire go on their date and again the chemistry is visible! The moment has arrived, they give in to their carnal desires for each other and not a moment too soon!Blaire is very patient with those in her care and shows them kindness, love, and respect♥ I like her gentle nature. Mr. Harold pulled at my heart strings. He's been at Cross Meadows for a year and not once has he gotten a visitor :'( Jason goes to visit his gramps and bumps into Blaire and I'm rooting for Jason. He needs love and happiness, and I'm hoping they talk through their issues, clear the air, and then they can ravish each other again! Well, that never happened. A bit of drama + a bombshell = no ravishing ={Other residents that crept into my heart were Wilma and Deloris. Wilma has been at Cross Meadows for years and again no visitors, this breaks my heart it does! Now Deloris is our little ray of sunshine spreading joy and entertainment with her antics, such sweethearts♥Another bombshell is dropped on these 2 young lovebirds and I cry for them and their pain. As life goes on, Blaire lashes out at Jason and thinks it's better that their paths separate :'( Then, yet again, tragedy strikes and Blaire is at Jason's side to support him, and it seems these 2 may finally sort out all the kinks in their relationship. I wish Jason and Blaire well and may their lives be filled with love♥ thank you guys for sharing you story with us ♥★★★★Reviewed by Heidi

Blaire is a student focused on her studies, especially now that finals are approaching. In a party she was dragged to she re-connects with Jason, the boy who used her in high school to get to her friend. Although she still has some unresolved feelings about that, she can't help but still be attracted to him.Jason is thinking of returning back home to support his mom now that his grandfather is sick. So although he likes his life in Tennessee, he moves back home - where he runs into Blaire. He remembers from high school, but never pursued her. However, now that he has laid eyes on her, he can't seem to stay away. With a bit of angst, lots of humor and an abundance of romance Jennifer Snyder managed to deliver a nice, sweet story in Break You.Although its formula was kind of predictable, the story was entertaining and the characters engaging enough that I was drawn in immediately to their story. I liked Jason from the very beginning. He was easy-going and considerate with an added sexy side that had me melting for him. He really wanted to start something with Blaire but she kept him at bay at every turn. Typical male that he was, he made stupid mistakes along the way and Blaire wasn't mature enough to even give him the chance to explain. And that would be my greatest complain about this story - Blaire. I admired her tenacity and determination to focus on her studies, her loyalty to her sister and her outgoing personality as was displayed by her interactions with her friends, but she had a tendency to run away from confrontations and making bad decisions. For a 23-year old, she sure lacked the ability to communicate. She would jump to conclusions, shutting Jason out and making him go through hell for a chance to be with her. I thought she behaved immaturely several times, which stood in the way of me truly connecting to her.Having said that, I do still think that Blaire and Jason's story was a very enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to reading Paige's story. She was a great character in this story and I'm sure her story will be interesting too.*I received an ARC copy of this title through Xpresso Book Tours in exchange of my honest opinion.

Gorgeous story! Full review to follow. Edit.Within a few pages of starting this book, I knew that this story was going to be special. Everything about it felt real to me, the characters, the settings, the feelings and emotions that people were experiencing. It just felt like real life, which is something that always endears me to a story. As nice as the 'heroine meets hero and they live happily ever after' is, it is always comforting to see realistic characters overcome hardship, much like we do in everyday life. Blaire was a character that I identified with so much, and I really felt connected to her, feeling her emotions and pain as the novel progressed, and I wanted more than anything, for her to have her happy ending.Jason was a great character. I have a feeling some reviewers will say that they couldn't identify with him, but I thought that the way Jennifer Snyder created him, and gave us peeks into his way of thinking, really made him a real and flawed guy. I also didn't feel like I was reading a woman trying to write a man's point of view, it felt very male and that is something that is particularly difficult to pull of so I commend the author for her talent. I liked seeing how Jason changed throughout the novel, almost starting off as a boy with few responsibilities, and having to learn very quickly how to become a man.The pace of the character and story development was done to perfection, and not at one point did I wish that the story would speed up or slow down. I loved that there were bumps and stops in the story, and these had to be overcome throughout the journey and not just at the climax of the book. I liked the little things that built up, making Blaire and Jason feel hopeless, rather than one big event causing them to struggle. More than anything I adored Blaire for her kind nature. The situation she found herself in she could have taken an easier path, but she didn't even consider it, and instead accepted the new path that her life would take.Overall, this was a gorgeous story that I adored from start to finish. I loved the ending, as despite it being bittersweet, it echoed real life incredibly well, in which not everything in life can be fixed, but we have to fight for the most important things.5 Stars!

Blaire and JasonBlair runs into her high school crush at a college house party. It was a bit of a shock since she knew he was going to school in another state. He was the last person she expected to see. When Jason saw her at the party, he recognized her as the sweet, unobtainable, bookish (in his eyes it made her intimidating) girl. They met up at the keg then went to the front door where she ripped into him for being an inconsiderate jerk in tenth grade. He had to have at that point...Blaire was in nursing school. While in school, she worked at a nursing facility. The descriptions and reality of care given and residents was superb. I gave this book a five-star rating because it was done so well! I can't fan girl enough about it!It was a great easy read. The characters were realistic in their look on life, actions, and overall maturity level. They both grew up quite a bit in the novel. Jason's growth was huge, especially in regards to his own family issues. Blaire didn't grow up quite as well. By the end of the book, she was still being petty about the slutty girl, selfish when it came to thinking she was the only one in pain, and child-like and unforgiving the way she treated and thought about Jason. She always assumed he was doing something wrong and didn't allow him to explain. She's lucky he was persistent, many guys would not have been that way. Ok, maybe she didn't evolve all that great.I wish I knew how his father died. I needed to know to understand Jason and his Mom a little better. Was it a chronic illness or was it sudden? She really needs professional help. Where were his other set of grandparents? Did he have any cousins from that side of the family? The book was in great dual POVs. The editing could have been better. Brian's name was written quite a bit as Brain. It was very distracting. Otherwise, the editing was good.

    * I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *This is book #1 of the Coldcreek series. It can be read as a standalone or out of order, however, it will make the series flow better if you read it in order. This is the second book that I have read by Jennifer Snyder and I throughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Jennifer's writing was smooth flowing, fun, and easy to read. I connected well with the characters (especially Blaire) and found them to be fun and refreshing, and the story contained a touch of angst, lots of humor and an abundance of romance and love. Jennifer Snyder managed to deliver a nice, sweet story in Break You. Although its plot and basic storyline was predictable at times, the story was entertaining and the characters were engaging enough that I was drawn in immediately to their story. I enjoyed how Facebook contributed to some of the issues in Blaire and Jason’s relationship because it felt real and is a real part of society in this day and age. Social media does often impact the lives of people a lot these days and it felt believable that something seen on Facebook could cause problems and misunderstandings in relationships. This is a classic tale of attraction and misunderstandings with a huge dose of reality. The storyline was sweet but you could see some of the twists and plot turns coming a mile away. Despite the predictability I enjoyed the books layers and I will definitely read more from Jennifer as well as I would recommend this book and her others in this series without hesitation! It is a MUST READ!! ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official. For more information regarding our reviews please visit our Fansite: www.facebook.com/NerdGirl.ng ***

I couldn't believe that such an amazing love story could have such a bittersweet ending. I was crying so hard for Blaire and Jason. All I could ask myself was "why?". And of course, I didn't see it coming. But what make this story such an amazing one, is the well-developed characters. Blaire is sweet, studious and what everyone would call "a good girl". I really liked her. And Jason's what you can imagine of a twenty-something boy. Despite this, he's really mature throughout the story and really nice, making him the most adorable guy on Earth and wanting him to be your boyfriend. Although he really needs to think, before speak. Sometimes.Their story is pretty realistic. With some dreamy scenes and bad ones, too. Jennifer Snyder's shows us how life can be unexpected and it can come out some pretty amazing things from it.I simply love the story and can't what to read more about Blaire and Jason. Hope we get to read more about these two. What's left to say, Book Addicts, is that you need to read this story. Not only because is a sweet story about love and life, but because is an amazing one and you are going to enjoyed it as much as I did.

Overall Rating: 5*out of 10I am not going to lie. I was pretty disappointed in this book. I expected it to be a lot better than it was. Not that I am a judge of cover, but still. I was excited I read it. And when I did, I was a bit let down, though it still was a decent read. Worth it. The first thing I noticed was Jason's character. Which I hate. He can be a real douche sometimes and seriously clueless. He never knows when he is about to regret something or ha any regards to everyone else's feelings. And I'm not talking about how he ran off after his dad died, that I understand his reasoning. But seeing those pictures of Marla and him on Facebook and not even wondering what Blaire might think of them. I mean really?? He was oblivious to Blaire's feelings the whole time. I didn't necessarily like antibodies characters except for Tinley and Lauren. Blaire... I just didn't feel for her. It's not that I didn't like her, I just didn't really feel a great connection with her is all, like I usually do with my main characters.

Review also posted on my blog http://www.reviewedthebook.co.uk/2014...Break You is a quick new adult romance about Blaire and Jason, re-connected from their brief moments at high school when Jason used Blaire to get to her friend. I found this book sweet and an easy, relatable book for teenagers and young adults.I really enjoyed this – it was cute, funny and full of angst at times, always a pleasant read. The characters were great too and I thought the author did a perfect job at making them realistic and easy to relate to. Jason felt like the typical young male – makes a few mistakes but is caring deep down and Blaire and her best friends felt real too. The book felt like it had the kind of situations you could just walk into in real life, and I loved that.I liked how Facebook contributed to some of the issues in Blaire and Jason’s relationship because it felt real. Social media does impact the lives of young people a lot these days and it felt believable that something seen on Facebook could cause problems.Break you was enjoyable throughout. I did hope that the ending could have been drawn out a little bit because it felt a bit too quick. Despite this, I still loved reading it. Break You might not have been the most unexpected of stories but for me it was definitely the perfect book to delve into and relate to. 4/5.*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Original review at Gabic Reads as part of the Break You Blog Tour.I loved Blaire's character. She was strong and independent, but also with some introverted tendencies. She wants to get through her schooling and earn her RN license. I was kinda iffy about how I felt about Jason. Some moments I loved him, like when he fights for a spot in Blaire's life. And there where some moments when I disliked him, like when he hung out with Marla (<- bad decision). I do feel like Jennifer did an amazing job of capturing the male POV and showing how much social media such as Facebook affects our lives and can also lead to miscommunication.I feel like I've read a lot of books lately that I feel have insufficient backstories. Break You is one of them. Jason father and grandmother died within three years of each other but we never learn why or what exactly Jason was feeling during these times other than his current regret for not being there for his mother. There two events are what is driving Jason's current actions and thus I feel like they should have been delved into a little bit more. The subline "A Coldcreek Novel" leads me to believe that Jennifer might be writing companion novels. There are so many characters I would love to see that for. I can't wait to see what Jennifer has in store for us in this tiny town!!

This was such a hard book to review...The storyline was good, but the characters - I think I ended up feeling sorry for them when I really just wanted to fall in love with them...Jason was a bit of a clueless douche... for someone majoring in psychology he really didn't get why Blaire was p'd with him so much, and it wasn't until after the 60% mark that he picked up his game and I actually started to like him...And Blaire was such a pushover... she totally accepted Jason's explanations without question... honestly I'd be like 'I'm gonna need some proof of that dude!' Also, I felt like I didn't connect to the writing, maybe it's just me as there are plenty of other reviews that have said otherwise but, I just didn't feel it ya know... the ending was quite abrupt too, it didn't give me that satisfied feeling I usually get when I finish a good book. On the whole it was an ok read, it pulled at the heart strings and dealt with some situations well, and there were scenes I loved too... but I'm still pleased it was free at my time of purchase... I'd recommend it to New Adult readers 18+ as there are a few sex scenes and bad language throughout.

Enjoyable readIt was enjoyable, but the end felt cut short. Then I realized it was a series so hopefully there is more of Blaire and Jason to be seen in the next book.Blaire is a young girl with her head on straight. Studies and work are the most important part of her college life, but she is easily persuaded to go out and party with her roommate and friend. Much too often in my opinion of how I felt about Blaire's personality. Jason has had life fall apart much too often. His dad and grandma both passed away within the past few years, but Jason couldn't handle it. So he ran...left state and started college elsewhere. But then when his Grandpa was placed in a nursing home, Jason came back to help his mom take care of life's happenings. The story evolves as Blaire and Jason see each other for the first time after three hears, since high school graduation. But they do not hit it off right away. Again, Blaire is persuaded by roommates and Jason himself to go on one date. From there, their lives take drastic turns. I greatly enjoyed the author's style of writing and I am going to start book 2 in the series right now.

Blaire has had a crush on Jason for as long as she can remember. What she can also remember is that he shunned her in the words possible way. Jason has had his own secret crush on Blaire. And when he runs into her year after their high school years he sees it as the opportunity to meet up with her like he always wanted. One thing leads to another and another and they just can't seem to get where they need to be.So when I first started reading the book I thought a lot of things were mentioned that could have been left out. Further more I found somethings a bit of a waste. Should you read this - don't let this stop you from carrying on. Because - nothing is what it seems.I loved it. I loved that everything didn't have a happy ending. I loved that the characters were flawed and in no way perfect. I loved that they didn't have their shit together and that they had to fight to get what they want. I liked pretty much the entire book.Really give it a try. It is very worth it.
