Matt Coleman is the computer expert for his special ops team – Zeta. Matt might be a certified genius and a great tactician, but he is really tired of watching his fellow team members having a great love life while his is a disaster. Matt is getting so desperate that he is taking extreme measures – online dating service. That quickly proves to be a disaster also. It seems that the only highlight in Matt’s day is to chat with a fellow special ops computer expert for the Omega team – Sam. And now even Sam is getting to go on an op while Matt sits.Samantha Foster has had to fight like crazy to be seen as a full member of team Omega and not just as a girl. Her nickname Sam has helped but when even her commander tries to shield Sam from anything that might even possibly be dangerous, Sam knows she has a long ways to go. When her team receives an op in Dubai, it has to be Sam who goes undercover – she is the only woman and she will have to infiltrate a harem to complete her job and find a terrorist.Matt is sent to Dubai because one of his programs isn’t working right. Part of that job is staying at the sheik’s home. But Matt isn’t about to accept the offerings from the harem that are sent his way. That is until the night when the woman sent to him is clearly an American and a further shock – his buddy Sam is a sexy woman and she is out to capture a terrorist with no back up. Matt instantly teams up with Sam, both in bed and out of it, to not only capture the person they are after but they might even be able to set a net that will give both teams future intelligence if done right. Now they just need to set the trap and get out safely. But when Matt arrives back to his room, it’s to discover that Sam is gone and he can only hope that her team came to her rescue. When Matt gets home will he find Sam safe and will they figure out a way to explore the feelings that they found while in Dubai? When two special ops computer experts meet in Dubai sparks fly and it’s not only in the bedroom. Matt and Sam discover that they have much more in common than computers and special ops in Matt. I just knew that Matt would have to have his day in the sun and was really happy to see him get Sam. I could understand Sam’s frustration at being held back because she was a woman, even though she had qualified to be part of her team just like all the men. I loved how surprised both Sam and Matt were when they came face-to-face in Dubai, but I wasn’t surprised that their feelings exploded because they had been chat buddies for so long. I also loved how devious they were at setting their trap and can’t wait to see the results in future books. I can only hope that Matt and Sam find a way to not only explore their connection together but that they discover the love that the rest of team Zeta have found. Matt proves that love and friendship can happen when you least expect it and that it can be hot and spicy even when danger surrounds you. This book was reviewed by Jo for Joyfully Reviewed (JR), and was provided by the publisher/author at no cost to JR for the purpose of being reviewed.

Slick‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book ReviewsReview copy provided for an honest review4 STARSIn so many books in Cat Johnson’s Red, Hot, & Blue series, Matt Coleman has had to listen and sometimes even watch as his teammates have hooked up during missions. While some might think he enjoys it, nothing could be further from the truth because what Matt wants is his own woman. He’s ready to settle down and just as he joins a dating site and has two less than stellar dates; he finds he’s being sent to Dubai on a mission.First off, I’ve always loved Matt the hunky, but nerdy computer genius that keeps the team wired and safe all the while keeping their secrets. So, yeah I was really rooting for him to find his perfect match. I just never expected his to find it in a harem girl in Dubai.I’d really love to say more about the unusual twist in this story but I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. Suffice it to say, Matt meets the girl of his dreams in an unlikely place but it’s someone he’s known for some time he just didn’t realize it. Yes, their relationship moves quickly and yes, they go from surprised to sexy fun in the blink of an eye but holy hell, you can’t help but appreciate the fact that if ever two people were meant to be together it is these two.Cat Johnson’s Red, Hot, & Blue stories might be short, but they never fail to deliver the heat and emotion of two people finding the one they were meant to have in their life. I loved this story of Matt the sexy geek and his harem girl and I couldn’t be happier for both of them!

Zeta's comm expert, Matt Coleman, feels like the odd man out what with his team mates all pairing up aand finding their HEAs. After employing an online dating service & enduring a pair of hilariously pathetic dates, he's even more bummed about his Single status that ever. Now he's been given an assignment: Go to Dubai & fix a system he helped create. Stay as a guest of the royal family at one of their compounds. Samantha Foster is Omega's comm expert. She's been assigned to go deep undercover in Dubai, implanting herself into the harem of a royal family where communications have been traced going to/from known terrorists. ---------------------------------------------------------------Poor Matt... I really feel he got cheated in his story. Not only was it way to short, but it lacked depth, even moreso than Bull's story. Matt's had to suffer hearing & seeing his teammates finding, making, and falling in love. The ending felt extremely unfinished/unresolved & not at all satisfying. Disappointed. Gave it 3 stars only because I like the the female chosen for Matt, otherwise I think this one may have slipped to a 2-star story.

This series is going way down hill for me. It started out with me mainly 3 starring the books, liking them, but feeling as if they could be so much more. There were a couple of 4 star gems in the bunch, but they were the exception, rather than the norm. I'd been looking forward to Matt's book for ages, because he's the one hero that is always on the sidelines of the team. Sadly, his book was an utter disappointment for me. It was entirely too short, seeming like a fleshed out outline of a scene for a book, rather than an actual story. The early books in this series were a bit more fleshed out, with more plot and conflict than this one had. Even though they were short, I now miss those early stories, rather than the drivel we're handed as a "book" from this author. I think that after I read the final book in the series, I will be done with this author. Her short books aren't worth spending money on any longer.

Matt Coleman is the genius who is always in the van, so when it comes up that he needs to do a solo op he's all for it hoping he'll have the opportunity to get him so on op booty like his teammates have....Sam Foster is just like Matt, in that she's always in the van, so when her team finds out that someone has to go in it's only her who can do this job...when Matt finally realizes that his good buddy Sam isn't who he expected the steam starts to rise....onto the next
