Astoundingly sexy with a consuming presence of unspoken command, he enthralls me to the point of almost being incapable of rational thoughts, almost being incapable of resisting him. My hands want to explore him. My tongue wants to taste him. My body begs to experience him. I crave him. Now he’s starting to intrude on a level that’s harder to fight. I know what he wants from me. I also know that Dane is not the type of man you expect to keep.DaneThings are never straightforward with women like Brooklyn. She’s not the kind whose bed you can slip out of and walk away from without ‘special connections’ or ‘emotions’ expected or offered. She’s the type of woman I prefer to keep my distance from, but like an undersexed, hormonal idiot, I still pursued her. I swear getting turned on by her is like getting turned on for the first time in my life. Now I have her in my grasp, but I know where this will lead. And I’m never the one that gets hurt in situations like this.A woman who has barely put her broken-self back together and a man who turned his back on love a long time ago. When Dane and Brooklyn first met it appeared to be a simple case of lust between two opposites, but it was the beginning of an intense, emotional journey that would bring forth the pain they both attempted to leave in their pasts, and an encapsulation of feelings neither welcomed but were powerless to stop. Sometimes in life there is no choice but to take a risk.*Release takes place in the months leading up to the end of If Only (book one in the Captured series), and includes major spoilers from Joe and Callie’s story.*This book contains graphic sexual content....

This story offers you so much in one. Fun, laughter, tears, romance and much more.An amazing story of an intense and passionate love between two people however, they are both battling their own personal demons which causes some conflict within their relationship. As the story progresses and their personal struggles unravel, you cannot help but fall in love with each of them and feel endeared to them both. I found myself really rooting for them and their relationship from the beginning to end.Dane and Brooklyn are both very strong characters in their own right and lead very interesting lives; so much so, that there are not any slow or boring parts of this book, I was engaged the whole way through. This story also includes many other fantastic characters a few of which I recognised from Louise J's previous novel "If Only". Sorry but I found the character "Gerard" absolutely hilarious in this towards the end, I would love to see more of him in the future.Although this story touches some serious real life issues, it is also laced with elements of humour, excitement and of course a lot of steam (aye aye) all the components that make for an excellent adult romance novel, which only an excellent mind and excellent author could write.A thoroughly good read.I am eagerly anticipating Louise J's next novel. In the meantime I'm off to find my Dane.....

Well, I have got a new author I love, and this book is so wonderful in sort of a semi-quiet, understated way! Following Dane and Brooklyn's relationship made for a fantastic story, and, honestly, I would love another book dedicated solely to their story. Brooklyn is very endearing, and I LOVE the whole group, which was introduced in IF ONLY. But, Dane?! Oh my freaking God. I am MAD for him!! He's so effing SEXY with his dreads and tattoos and sort of good-boy, bad-boy ways. ROAR!!!FULL REVIEW TO COME......

LIKED IT, JUST NOT QUITE AS MUCH AS BOOK 1This is Dane and Brooklyn's story. Dane a character who appeared in the first book. Dane is a total womaniser though there's little evidence of that in this. He first meets Brooklyn when his sister Saffron talks him into going to a dance show, Brooklyn is one of the performers. She's in the US working, but is British. Dane is immediately attracted to Brooklyn, but she's connected to his sister via mutual friends and Saffron would be furious with him if he messes with Brooklyn. But Dane just can't help himself. This is the second book in the Captured series, it's not a stand alone story IMO the books need to be read in order. While I thought the writing and flow of this story was better than book one, I was a little disappointed with the plot. Basically it's about Dane and Brooklyn getting together and their underlying issues. Dane was a likeable character and really seemed to have his head screwed on the right way to me. Whereas Brooklyn was far more complex and at times she was a little irritating. But my biggest problem was, not much happens, I was expecting a little more drama and angst. Not a bad read, but it didn't quite match my expectations. Gerard's book is the next in the series.

I am so frigging in love with this book, this series, all these fantastic characters – review to come!!!An absolute MUST READ!!! I highly recommend the first 2 books in this series! Can't wait for book 3.Updated!This was emotional, deep, funny, and very sexy. I loved Dane and Brooklyn’s approach to their intense attraction to one another and the way things developed between them. There were so many beautiful moments in this story and lines that made me fall for Dane over and over again - I consider them spoilers though, so I won't write them here. He is incredibly sexy and an amazing guy – one of my favourite heroes without a doubt. I loved the stunning and sexy Brooklyn too - I really enjoyed being in her head during both her strong and vulnerable moments - I totally got her. If I say too much I’ll spoil what I thought was a brilliant and beautiful story. I loved all the scenes with Dane, Gerard, Joe and Adam, and I enjoyed the various relationships that featured in the lives of Dane and Brooklyn as individuals. So far I've thoroughly enjoyed the guys and girls that make up the captured series and I really do recommend this series.

When I read if only I fell in love with Callie and Joe and when I started reading release I started falling in love with Dane and Brooklyn, I felt like I was betraying Callie and Joe but then I realised im not as their all a group of very special friends and you can love them all just as much.Danes an amazing guy and omg sexy isn't the word, his the kind of guy we all want and need, a bad boy, pure sexiness, someone you just have to have here, now, right this second but he will never be yours.Brooklyn, shes sexy, funny, troubled, body to die for and from the moment they see each other its hot lust and I mean hot lust(wow)Louise j makes it so real your fighting for them knowing that they need each other, want each other and are so in love with each other and with that the fight for true love begins. An amazingly well written book, love it as much as if only and cant wait for the 3rd book.

Thedetailthat this author uses to describe the characters feelings and emotions are what I loved the most about this book. I loved the maturity of Dane and Brooklyn and how this played such as part in their learning to communicate. I loved reading about how they overcame some significant insecurities with each other and themselves. Lots of hot and steamy loving too! Dane is smoking hot. It was nice to see Joe, and see where Callie came back. Loved Gerard! Looking forward to book 3 where we get to see him in action! And of course all of the others.

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**I read the first book in this series, If Only, and I loved it. I was happy to see that we would be getting more in this series, and we would be getting Dane’s story. Dane is so friggin hot and is a ladies man. He loved women and is not the settling down type of guy. He does not tell women anything but the truth, and is honest in telling them he is not into exclusivity. Saffron, Dane’s sister, gets him to go to a dance performance for a show called Release. Let’s just say once he sees Brooklyn dance across that stage, he's intrigued with her and things are about to change.“A woman with a talent, whether it’s a physical skill like this or a smart head on shoulders, is something I find extremely attractive. Talent, a beautiful face, and an amazing body are exactly what are in front of me right now.”After seeing Brooklyn on that stage, Dane cannot get her out of his head. He did not know how or when it happened, but he knew he needed to have some part of her. Brooklyn had been told he was a womanizer and Dane wanted her to form her own opinion of him. The two decided to get to know one another, which was nice. I loved that although they both had felt attracted to each other, they took their time.Brooklyn is from the UK and is in the United States promoting the production of Release. If all goes right she can make the United States her home. Brooklyn left behind demons in UK and she is hoping never to go back there again. She just wants to forget that part of her life. As soon as she saw Dane, she knew there was something more about him. Despite her friends warnings, she decides she is going to take a chance on him. “That face. Those hazel eyes. Those Lips. Smooth, clear skin, the tone like yummy milk chocolate sauce, the kind you can’t resist licking off a spoon. Mmm, yes lick.”Things are not easy with Dane and Brooklyn. They are both hiding their pasts from each other and keeping feelings to their selves. Their relationship is a deep one. It is intense and full of emotion and when they are apart insecurities arise for the pair. For Brooklyn having seen some of the woman Dane has been with, she starts to wonder if she is good enough for him. And Dane starts to wonder if he really wants a relationship and is capable of being in one. Dane amazed me and he slowly started to change, even with his doubts. He is trying to show Brooklyn that he cares and he wants from her what NO OTHER WOMAN can give and that HE ONLY WANTS THIS WITH HER. “I don’t know if I should…my attraction to you scares me, Dane. Maybe I’m putting myself at a disadvantage by telling this, but I think I want you too much. You might give me the night of my life, but when it’s all over, I’d still be disappointed in myself for giving in.”“Brooklyn, you should’ve figured out by now that if anything happens between us it won’t only be about sex. If you spend the night with me it’ll be the first of many and they won’t only be about sex either.”When these two decide to take their relationship on to the next level, it is hot and steamy.“Once we do this there’s no turning me, I want you to be sure, I want you to trust me. I’d tell you sorry, but I’m not. I’ve never wanted to f**k as much as I do right now, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to rush.”“F**k me now, please. You can do whatever you want to me after that.”Brooklyn got me upset a lot of times in this book. She was always saying sorry and was so full of insecurities. By the end we got to see why and I felt bad. But Brooklyn also surprised me and every time Dane pushed her away, she only challenged him more. Dane was so alpha, but at the same time never expressing himself with words. Let me just say...Dane in alpha male mode is hot and interesting. “I’m going home with them.”“No not. The only place you’re going is with me.”Since when do you tell me what to do? You don’t own me.”“Tonight I do, sweetheart, I do tell you what to do.”When these two decide to go all in, there is no holding back. I was an emotional mess with this book because I was not sure how it was going to end. I could not put the book down...that is how good it was! We also got to see Callie and Joe in this book as well. I love Louise J.'s writing and this series. I cannot wait for the next book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

While reading If Only, Dane was one of the secondary characters that drew my attention. He was such a player, but I KNEW there was a story underneath all that sexy and sweet demeanor of his. I wanted to know more and I am happy to report that Louise delivered that and so much more.Dane is the quintessential love 'em and leave 'em type. He goes from woman to woman never stopping long enough to form any kind of lasting or meaningful relationship. He is sexy, fun and confident with the added bonus of a rocking body. *swoon*Brooklyn is not looking for a relationship when she meets Dane, especially with a man with Dane's reputation. Having gotten out of a bad relationship herself, Brooklyn is emotionally troubled and she doesn't do one-night stand, even if the man in question fires up all her buttons.Neither one of them wants to get entangled in relationship and emotions, but chemistry and an instant connection could not be denied and they find themselves getting to know one another and fighting their physical attraction every step of the way. Brooklyn wants to resists, Dane wants to protect her from himself.I loved it!!!From the start I was curious to see how the author would go about bringing Dane into a relationship. I enjoyed how she played him - sneaking emotions he had long forgotten and making Brooklyn irresistible to him. Brooklyn brought out all of his protective instincts, his passion and messed up with his resolve of never getting involved. What I loved the most about his reaction to Brooklyn was that she didn't set out to do any of this. Brooklyn was just going through the motions, taking advantage of the time she had with Dane and trying to protect her heart now that she had started caring for Dane. She made mistakes and she got on my nerves, but the author made sure I could understand where she was coming from. I really appreciated that.As the story unfolds, their connection deepens and their chemistry continues to soar (Just wait for that first kiss. ;-)). Secrets are revealed and confessions are made. Brooklyn has a lot of trust issues and although they are understandable because of what she went through, there came a point where it became too much. Like Dane, I was just about to give up on her and move on. Thankfully, Dane and I stuck around. The author did a splendid job in bringing Brooklyn past to the page. That one scene was packed-full of emotions and sold me on the viability of Dane and Brooklyn's relationship working out.Although Release is the second book in the Captured series, it can be read as a stand alone. However, keep in mind that although the story focuses on Dane and Brooklyn's relationship and takes place before Joe and Callie ultimately get together, it does have a few spoilers from Joe and Callie’s story. All in all, an emotionally driven story about letting go of the past, trusting yourself and others and opening yourself to the possibility of a new beginning - in love and life.

***I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review***Brooklyn is a dancer in every sense of the word. She lives and breathes dancing, but after tearing her achilles tendon she is sure she will never perform again. Brooklyn goes through a tough spot in her life emotionally and physically, but after time and attention Brooklyn finds herself in San Francisco dancing in Release. She thought she knew how much this show would change her life and give her back her dreams, but she never expected to get so much more from it. Dane is a non-commitment type of guy. He makes his intentions known from the beginning and makes no apologies for being the way he is. He loves his sister and his family and is content enough, but he has never met anyone quite like Brooklyn before. Brooklyn gets under his skin like no other, and Dane is determined to have her. Release is the story of Brooklyn and Dane fighting the temptation and passion that grows between them, until one day neither one wants to fight it anymore. This story is not just about passion and chemistry between two individuals: it’s more about growing and accepting yourself and your choices, because both Dane and Brooklyn have pasts that ultimately help shape the way they live their lives. So I thought If Only (Captured #1) was great, but Release had me in love from the beginning!! Brooklyn was an ideal heroine. She was smart, talented, and extremely witty! She had me with her UK terms and her fun spirit. I loved how she fought between what she wanted and needed, and ultimately she followed her heart and it lead to an amazing experience. Dane is just incredible. He is great looking, honest, trustworthy, and beyond all that has a great heart. He is who he is and doesn’t allow others to change him. The chemistry between the two was AH-MAZ-ING, and Dane had me blushing too many times to count. I’ve said it before and Ill say it again: Louise is a wonderfully talented writer! I felt every single emotion the characters were feeling and it felt as if I was right there along with them. Once again the descriptive writing she used painted a perfect picture. It was fun reading more about Callie, Joe, Adam, Saffron, and Gerard, but it was great that we got to meet new characters as well. I can honestly say I wouldn’t change a single thing about this book! I read it with a constant smile on my face and laughed out loud so much! I cannot wait for Gerard’s book and most defiantly recommend this book to anyone and everyone!!~Mags

**ARC** Dane is a man who loves EVERYTHING about women. He is not ready to settle down in life just yet and is happy with the way his life is. That is until his sister Saffron pulls him to the opening of a dance show one of her friends has put on and the beauty known as Brooklyn comes to grace the stage. Saffron made it very clear from the beginning that all dancers were OFF LIMITS because she knows what her brother is like, and she doesn't want to ruin the friendship she has because her brother slept with one of the dancers. When Brooklyn dances her way across the stage that night, it is like she danced her way into his soul. He never saw her coming or the feelings that go along with finding her. She may just very well be the one to break this man of his sexual ways and make him an honest man. The book goes on into their story as they work and fight together to make their relationship happen. Brooklyn is from the UK and here on a working visa to help with the Production of Release. If everything goes well she may just be making the permanent move here to US and she will be leaving a dark past behind. She is hoping that she can move on from her past and let someone in when she is ready to start dating. She never saw Dane coming, and from the first moment her friends told her she should run, that he is not the type of man for her, she refused to listen, because there is just something about him that she wants to get to know. Dane and Brooklyn have this crazy intense relationship when they are together, but when they are apart, Brooklyn lets her worries from her past come to the front and make her second guess why Dane is really with her. Dane is slowly knocking down his walls when it comes to Brooklyn. He wants her to see that he really does care for her and that she is the only one for him. With every insecure moment Brooklyn throws at him, he pulls up the walls again slowly. I devoured this book in the same manner that I did with book 1. It took me a day to get through them, because I could not put them down. I am obsessed with this group of friends and I can not wait to read more about them in the next book!

3.5 starsI was half expecting for this to go into my take or leave it pile since I wasn’t totally in love with the first in this series, but I was pleasantly surprised how much more I liked Release. This one can also be read as a stand-alone as it takes place in the same time frame, but it doesn’t give anything away. Dane and Brooklyn were both likeable characters and their relationship actually had realistic ups and downs. Dane is a bad boy player type, so Brooklyn is understandably very insecure because she has trouble believing when he tells her she is different for him. Dane has trouble dealing with her insecurities, especially since he has his own hang ups to deal with on the relationship front. Louise J’s writing style shined through a little better here. I will give the third in this series a try. My hesitancy comes from the fact that I dislike Gerard’s character and I’m not sure if he can redeem himself from the Kayla thing, but I’ll try to go in with an open mind and not completely hate him, hopefully there is something redeemable in his story. ***ARC provided by the Author in exchange for an honest review***4 StarsRelease is the second book in the Captured series. The whole gang is back for this one but it is focused on Dane and his lovely dancer Brooklyn.Release introduces us to Brooklyn a strong willed, beautiful dancer who captures the eyes and heart of Dane. Given Dane's reputation and a past full of pain for Brooklyn their relationship is faced with many obstacles. From trust issues and the inability to be fully open with each other emotionally to amazing sex Release allows us to dive in to their relationship while revealing some of what happened while Callie was away.Although I was left wanting more of Callie and Joe getting to know Dane and Brooklyn was very interesting. I look forward to getting to know the rest of the group more and to see where the relationship between Dane and Brooklyn goes. I only ask that we get more of Callie and definitely much more of Joe.

This book was given to me to review..... This book was FREAKING HOT!!!! Dane is a hot womanizer that had no plans to ever settle down with someone yet alone fall in love. That all changes when his eyes fall upon the sexy dancer Brooklyn from the UK. There was something there that drew him into her and couldn't help himself. I loved the connection these two had. Trying to build a relationship with trust is hard with both of them having such horrible pasts. Can this relationship survive anything? The sex in this book was intense. There were moments I had to stop and fan myself. Why can't Dane be real LOL. You could feel the passion between these two. Great job on this book and so looking forward to Gerard's book.

I already fell in love with Dane in the first book of this awesome series and wasn't disappointed of the person we got to know better in this book. Also I really grew to like Brooklyn. But sometimes in the first part of this book I couldn't help myself and felt them not only dancing with each other but more around each other and their relationship. But at the end I liked them and their story more than I thought I could. As they opened up to each other completely I fell in love all over again with these two characters. So I think I would rate this book with 3 stars for the first half of it, but definitely 5 stars for the last couple chapters. That's why I chose to give 4 absolutely convincing stars for this love story in total.

I really enjoyed this book though Joe and Callie are still no.1 ;)This book was great at exploring the lines between how you can be so close to someone and yet so far away. Dane and Brooklyn both had issues that impacted their lives in a big way and even though they shared everything of themselves physically and every free moment, they were closed off emotionally, not totally, but in a way hat could've ended their relationship and the title is so apt. Not just as the name of Brooklyn's show but them releasing the past and opening themselves up to the full happiness they could experience with each other.A great read! Louise J is on a roll with this series. Looking forward to Gerard's book! :)

Dane and Brooklyn's story. It was a pretty good story up until the end. It was just so normal. This story could have benefited from an epilogue. I also fear that there may not be a next book…Dane is pretty deep, we got a good view into that from the first book. His story is pretty tragic. We knew he lost his parents and that cut him deeply. He also lost a few other people. He blamed himself for not being there to help them.Brooklyn is a professional dancer with a slight distrust of men. Despite her friends warning about Dane, she decides to give give him a shit. We really don't know what her issue is until the last few chapters. She is so back and forth to the extreme that it makes my head spin. I do love her Britishness.Dane and Brooklyn will have an uphill battle in their future.

A sexy man , a gorgeous dancer makes for a hot sizzling read , the romance has its ups and downs , but a sweet sexy read , just a tad disappointed with the end as it seemed so abrupt ! I hope there is a book 3 for Gerard maybe ???

I didn't like this as much as "If Only", mainly because I got tired of how insecure Brooklyn was. It was still written well and I enjoyed it!
