4 StarsI really enjoyed this short story. It had enough in its 25 pages to both surprise me, engage me and leave me wanting me more!! Ian Richards is an absolute misery - yet everyone seems to like him, they all want to talk to him, and they all call him "darling" or "honey" - it sucks! Everything sucks! He doesn't understand why people read his stories - because he thinks they suck. He has seriously low self esteem. He is just plain miserable! His current assignment is to write a piece on Immigration and the effects on the families, so when his agent asks him to go to Chicago on a book signing gig it seems the perfect opportunity to interview Lorenzo Guillermo De Bello while he is there. Lorenzo, however, suggests that Ian go and chat to his grandson Vincenzo rather, at a club. It turns out to be a BDSM club and this is where things get interesting. We learn just how far this world is from Ian's comfort zone, and yet how quickly and easily he complies to the directions of Vincenzo, albeit with a little "chemical coercion". I guess the whole book is geared up for this scene and it doesn't disappoint. Gryvon certainly knows how to write really good, hard core sex. This is my first, but definitely not my last, story of hers! The aftermath of the scene wraps the book up pretty quickly - Ian has come out the other side a nicer guy. Maybe not nicer, but definitely more approachable. I would love more of these guys - I need to know how/if/when Ian and Vincenzo meet up again. Highly recommended. Go. Buy the Book!

Reviewed by VictoriaBook provided by the publisherOriginally posted at Romancing the BookWhat It’s Worth by Gryvon is not part of a series. I do hope we get to see more of Ian in the near future because he is very intriguing. I chose this book because I have not read this author before and I wanted to.Ian Richards is a grumpy man who everyone thinks does a wonderful job at his work. However, to Ian nothing is good enough to him and he does not get how no one realizes it. Ian has very low self-esteem to the point he tries make everyone around him miserable.Lorenzo Guillermo De Bello is the person Ian is to interview however, he ends up chatting up is grandson Vincenzo at a BDSM club. While Vincenzo pushes Ian out his comfort zone, he gets Ian to recognize the other people around him. I did love Ian attitude adjustment in the end.At 25 pages, this was a hot short story that left me wanting to know more. The main characters and secondary characters were fascinating and appealing. Overall, I loved this story. I just wished it were longer.

Not my kind of story at all, for purely personal reasons. I cannot even begin to review this in a way that might do the story justice. Everything just rubbed me the wrong way. The main character, who is also the only narrator, is a bad-mannered, ill-behaved, spoiled "kid", who is so immature and ungrateful it isn't funny. He lacks a backbone and any kind of direction for his life, and lets people just walk over him.He ends up in a gay bar and is drugged (!!!), so the other guy, one Vincenzo who is supposed to give him information for an article he's working on, can abuse and rape him in front of an audience which Ian hates. Yes, I call this abuse since it is about as non-consensual as it gets. And at the end of it all? Ian has learned absolutely nothing and wants more of the shabby mistreatment from Vincenzo. Why???
