The Measure of a Gentleman Reviews
Fiercely loyal to both canons, with a most enjoyable mix of sexual tension, wit and historical accuracy. The author somehow managed to make her Sherlock and her John one hundred percent themselves, yet at the same time very Darcy and Elizabeth-like, respectively. Each of the other characters from the TV show is cast in the most fitting role from the original Pride & Prejudice story for them and there is an element of originality added to the two stories the author drew inspiration from for this fic that makes it an absolute delight.
Well written, cleverly crafted Sherlock/Pride & Pejudice fanfic. Quite marvelous, really. However, if you have an aversion to schmaltzy epilogues you might want to skip this one.
Finally. A Pride & Prejudice and Sherlock crossover. The idea itself is enough to make me giddy. Ever since I fell in love with Benedict/Sherlock, I've wanted to see him as Darcy. That wish has been granted, and how. Fiercely loyal to both canons (and trust me, I know both by heart), a delicious delight that had me giggling all over the place. It was stunning to discover how my Baker Street boys fit SO seamlessly in every fucking universe. I nearly fainted at the lake scene (anyone would. Come on, naked, dripping Benedict?!?! *slurp*), and my desire for a queer remake of Pride & Prejudice featuring Cumberbatch & Freeman just escalated through the roof.
OMG, I LOVED IT!!! This was the best Johnlock fanfiction i ever read. i loved every second of this piece. I want this version to be filmed with actors. It was everything and the best birthday present i could give myself today... now i will grin like an idiot whole day. i don't care. I LOVE IT.
