Do you remember the movie of the nineties called Clueless with Alicia Silverstone and her dumb rich girl gang?Basically is this book... But without Paul Rudd, the mood and the charm.Remains rich bitches/party girls who live in Lalaland and one of the most ridiculous, smart ass and smug rockstar I ever read in a romance. So, ok... the hero is a jerk... but the heroine is absurd! I don't have words to describe how awful was be in her mind... I tried to understand her world and her dramas, but, while I was reading I was...Then...In the ending, I wanted to stab her in the eyes! The worst is: there is no hope for them. I highly doubt that they will find in the next two books a better reason to live beyond their own plastic flat bellies. The good in this book is the cover. I love the cover because of the models (I'm already familiar with them since there is many books in which they are modeling on the cover like Easy = D)

Wow, what to say, what to say????Although this book is a cliffhanger, I don't think I'll be reading any more of the series. I am not sure but, I think this author is either filthy rich or wants to be. If this were a TV show, the product placement would be off the freaking charts. This paragraph alone in product placement is more that the GNP of some small countries here is a small sample of what I'm talking about...“Laurel, on the other hand opted for low-key, Dolce & Gabbana multicolor stripe printed dress with spaghetti-straps and paired it with black, three-inch Chanel sandals. Faith, meanwhile went all out with a Victoria Beckham black organza sleeveless dress with a high necked collar and a floral design that could barely be seen because it was black. The only color she decided to wear were lime green accessories including sky-high Yves Saint Laurent Tribute high-heeled sandals and a matching clutch.”WHO FREAKING CARES!!!! Instead of all the product dropping maybe the author should of concentrated on the character development and not leaving huge gaping holes in her story. There was so much promise in the concept of the story, but instead of eagerly anticipating the next book, I feel hollow, dirty and not interested.

Review posted at: Swept Away By RomanceFalling into Lust (One More Night, #1) by Selene Chardou Story Rating ~ 4 StarsRomance Rating ~ 4 StarsHero Rating ~ 5 StarsHeroine Rating ~ 4 StarsHeat Level ~ 4 StarsOverall Rating ~ 4 StarsOH YEAH! I just found another new author who writes romances just the way I like them! This is a contemporary romance set in the world of rock n’ roll and it’s the first installment in the One More Night trilogy and I REALLY enjoyed every moment of it.The story was a fast and easy to read but also very interesting and kept me turning the pages. This story is about Sydney, she is from a very wealthy family. Her grandfather dotes on her every whim, so for her 23rd birthday, he hires her favorite rock band Scarlet Fever to play a set on his new yacht for her and all her friends. Kaz, the hero of this story, is also the lead singer of Scarlet Fever, and he’s very attracted to Sydney. They have a bit of a rocky start, but then things fall into place nicely for the two of them. I loved how they were totally up front and honest to each other. The dialogue was very well done, as were the characters. We also get some great secondary characters in the way of Sydney’s friends and the other members of Scarlet Fever. They in turn, end up having their own romances with each other, making the book even more interesting. The love/sex scenes were very HOT and very sensual. I was glad that they just did not jump into bed, well actually they did, but they waited a while before they went all the way. I have to say that I really could feel the passion and lust these two shared.I know a lot of readers right now are not into reading trilogies, so let me just tell you straight out, the way this book ends is perfect, it did not leave me hanging, but left me wanting to know where this relationship is heading. I enjoyed this story so much, that I'm going to start on book 2, Falling Into Us immediately. Book 3, Falling Into Love, will be released sometime this month. I am totally invested in this story and can hardly wait to read how everything play's out.*A copy of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review*

I just couldn't get into it. I felt there wasn't enough character development and the story seemed all over the place. I'm thinking that maybe I just shouldn't read novellas because this is the second one I've read that I felt was rushed and I just didn't enjoy it.

When I talked to Selene Chardou about reviewing her book, Falling Into Lust, I wasn't prepared to fall for Kaz just as much as I did. I love rockers, especially of the tattooed variety. If there's anything as hot as a tattooed guy, I sure ain't seen it! This book is the first in the One More Night novella series and let me say if this is how hot the series begins, I can't even begin to imagine how hot and explosive the ending will be. I read this in just one sitting and I am absolutely dying for Falling Into Us, which comes next. With Selene's brilliant writing and sex scenes that are just smokin' - well, we have a winning combination.I thought at one point I might spontaneously combust -well, not so 'spontaneously' ;)Syd wants her twenty-third birthday party to be one to remember and ever one to give in to her wants and needs, Syd's Grandfather hires rock band Scarlet Fever to play a private gig for her and some friends and family aboard his yacht. The night of the party arrives and Syd is dressed to kill. she's a girl with a mission. It's been an unfulfilled wish to bed a rocker and she imagines how it would feel were she to bed the notorious womaniser, Kasper 'Kaz' Gillian, lead singer of Scarlet Fever. The band are all known for their womanising ways, but it's Kaz that Syd has her sights on. Once Syd makes up her mind to do something, nothing can stop her, come Hell or high water. When Syd and Kaz meet, there is an inexplicable electricity in the air. There's sexual tension aplenty, but is it just lusting after each other or could there actually be a deeper connection on a more emotional level? Well I'm hoping we discover more about them in the upcoming books because even though we're just at the beginning of their journey, it's easy to see that there are more layers to be unravelled. I was instantly hooked by the compelling way that Selene Chardou writes. Then there's the undeniable pull of the sexual chemistry between Syd and Kaz. I found myself wanting, needing to read faster. I also found myself wishing Selene could write faster because I need Falling Into Us now. This installment had a great flow to it, nothing was forced. It felt like a full-length novel with the amount of story she managed to tell in such a short space of time. I found that I liked all of the characters, there wasn't one bad one in the bunch. But I guess only time will tell if they stay that way or if there are actually skeletons hiding in some closets. I really like a book where I can invest in the characters and this seems like it's going to be an emotional series for me. If you're looking for a steamy, un-put-down-able book - then this is just the right one for you. It's a really great mixture of fantastic writing, an eclectic cast of characters and just the right amount of spice.Thank you Selene for the review copy of this awesome book. Roll on release date for Falling Into Us because I cannot wait for more sparks between Syd and the sex-on-legs that is Kaz Gillian

I actually give this a 0.5.. I mean, I couldn't get past the first two chapters because of the annoying and completely shallow heroine, Sydney. Also, all the high fashion name dropping was so unnecessary, I just had to skip those parts. So, I was already hesitant to read this because of the blurb, but no, after reading a bit of it, I definitely will not be giving this book another try.

The dialogue is a bit juvenile. Sydney's thoughts and actions are super contradictory. The story goes from extreme to the next. I'm going to finish the series only because if there is a to be continued I feel obligated to see it through until the end.

Ерунда какая-то. Больше никак не назвать. Бессмысленный романчик о рок-звезде и девственнице, каких много. Прочитал и забыл. Одно радует - объем небольшой, времени потрачено немного.

~4.5 Star~Sydney is a very rich girl who at first acts like a spoiled brat but that tones down into a nice woman. She is a 23 year old virgin (IKR!) who falls hard for Kaz right away. After initially being a bitch she showed him she was ready to attempt to commit. I liked her! Sure she had her moments but everyone does. She acted tough but was really vulnerable and kind of insecure. I think at the end of the book she was worried about how falling for and following Kaz would fit into her life. She didn’t want to become dependent or desperate. I think her friends should have been there for her a bit more. Kasper is a rock star that comes from an affluent family. I loved him! He was very down to earth for a rock star. He also this bad boy thing going on and I am a huge sucker for bad boys. He has his problems in the past but he seemed to pull it all together. He wanted Sydney from the beginning and stuck around even when she didn’t deserve him.At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book, because I thought she was a spoiled rich girl but after a few pages I was hooked. It got so good and I couldn’t put it down. She grew into a great character and you wanted to know more about her. Kaz was amazing and he was such a cutie. I was on the fence about the tattoo but it worked here. The secondary characters were amazingly written but I personally couldn’t stand Faith. I thought she was a snotty little bitch, and a horrible friend. Hopefully she will get her due in the next book. I liked that her friends hooked up with his friends. The sex scenes were very well written and I thought I was going to need a fan after. Lol I liked that Kaz had to work for it even though he was a rock star. It made Sydney a more lovable character because she didn’t jump drop her drawers because he was famous. This was a fantastic read and I can’t wait to read the next book. If I would have had it I would have dived right in. The only thing that really bothered me was all the label dropping. It just wasn’t my thing. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves rockers or tattooed men. You won’t regret it!~Thank you to the author for the loan of this book in exchange for a honest review.~

**** Four STARS I'm Hooked! I got this book this morning and didn't put it down until I was at the end*** One of the reasons I really liked this book is because I liked the characters. What makes me enjoy a book is if I connect with the characters, or like the characters. On the first page I had anticipated the Lead Character of this Series to act as the typical shallow snotty rich girl, however, the author was able to peal back the many layers in such a short time that I instantly couldn't put the book down, and I felt connected to the characters. I think there are lots of layers that will be revealed in the upcoming volumes to come and I'm excited to see how the character transforms throughout the stories. In my opinion that is the number one thing an author must do to keep the readers wanting more, have readers connect with characters. My only complaint is that now that the background is set and i'm invested the book ended. Note, this wasn't a book less than 100 pages, it actually was over 200 pages but it flowed quickly and just as I was closing the book I was wishing the next volume was already out. I realize this is a series and we will get to know each and every character as there is so many storylines that can be followed, but I'm just so excited for the next series to come out! Loved it, must read, this is going to be the next hottest series!

This novella is a great way to ease you into the characters of the One More Night Rock and Roll Trilogy. You get to meet the women and the band, and watch what happens on that first night on the cruise. In this book, you spend more time getting to know Sydney and Kaz, and watch the start of their relationship build. In my opinion, Sydney’s character didn’t seem to grow that much throughout the course of the book. When it came to Kaz though, you learned more about him as the book progressed. You also get to learn more about Sydney’s friends, and find out what has been going on with them.My complaint with this book, although we know that Sydney is a “rich” girl, it seemed as though every outfit she had on, we were informed as to the designer for that outfit. When it came to the wines she drank, we were also told the labels. It just seemed as though there was more emphasis put on the different designers than what was going on in the situation. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. (Oh and just as a surprise, the second book in the trilogy is a full length novel!!!)

I happen to adore Elle Chardou so had to give her alter-ego a whirl with this book. I'll start by saying that I really did not care for the lead female character, Sydney, but then again, I do believe that was a given with the intro and the intent. Having said that, I definitely warmed up to her as the story unfolded. I like the comraderie between the girls and rockers are a total plus, in my book (well, Selene's..LOL). I now look forward to the story progressing in the next installments. More toe tapping for me with another book series.

Sydney is a beautiful and wealthy girl who can have any man she wants but gives herself to none. Kaspar comes from the same social circles as Sydney but has chosen the wild life of a rock star over one more suitable to his upbringing. When they meet, sparks fly. Kaspar can have any woman he wants but chooses Sydney, who is hesitant to succumb in spite of the unmistakable chemistry between them. An exciting start to a sexy new series! I'm eagerly anticipating volume 2.

'I can't deny... I'm falling into lust.'Falling Into You follows the progression of the relationship between Sydney, a spoiled little rich girl, and Kasper Gillian, mega-rockstar. Sydney is a self proclaimed cock tease and mega bitch, not to mention twenty-three year old virgin. Kaz is a former trust fund baby who gave it all up to pursue the dreams his family wouldn't accept. While both of their families ran in the same circles the two never really met until Syd's grandfather hires Kaz' band to play for her twenty-third birthday.'You and me... We seemed to start off wrong, but I want to bridge the differences between us.'Stuck on a yacht, with few other people their age, for Sydney's birthday cruise, she and Kaz can't deny the attraction they have for one another. When the cruise is over and they're back on solid ground, and real life, Sydney and Kasper have to decide if what they feel is strong enough to take a chance on.'You could really be someone, you know, important in my life and I couldn't leave without telling you.'I'm giving Falling Into Lust 3.5 stars. It was a quick, light read. It doesn't have any of the dark, heavy themes I usually gravitate toward. It started pretty slow, but not in a way that made me want to give up on it. Sidney was incredibly superficial and frankly quite irritating through much of the book. Thankfully she started to grow up a little bit by the end. Kasper laid it all on the line, for the most part, from the very beginning. I appreciated that he wasn't some game-playing man-whore like so many rockers are portrayed.'... If you give me the chance, to show how much you could mean to me... I just might allow you a piece of my heart.'I didn't quite connect with the characters in Falling Into Lust until I was almost done with the book. I think it was because the world they live in is so far from mine and they didn't really have any redeeming qualities until the end of the book. By the time I finished the book I was invested in finding out what is going to happen with Sydney, her friends, Kasper, and his bandmates. I'm looking forward to continuing their stories in the rest of the One More Night trilogy well as the Scarlet Fever trilogy.'All I want is you and I and the chance and a hope to be something...'

OMG..where to start..DNF this book. And this may have a little bit of spoilers.Let me just say that I am a sucker for covers and this one is way too beautiful. The guy on the cover, Dusan Novakovic(yeap.. I know his name), is a looker and every single book cover with him is simply amazing. Thats what got me on this book. The cover. I read the sinopses and I kind didnt liked but I thought.. what the hell.. why not?Oh boy do I regreat it....I'm all about women being powerful and not taking any bullshit from man. For me, a woman has to like herself first, have self respect and all that. That doesnt mean she can step on the poor guy. That goes to both genders.. man or female.. doesnt matter. Everyone deserves respects and be respected. The women in this book.. so far as I read it... where all "mean" to their men. "She broke my heart" "ohhh she broke his heart" "OMG she is a bitch and broke my heart" and all that shit. All the women in this book, I repeat ALL THE WOMEN, where a bunch of superficial human beings. Half the time they where talking about how they life were perfect, how much money they had, how much drunk they got last night.. how they like to fuck blah blah blah. The other half was the author discribing how they were dressed for the day: Dolce and Gabanna, YSL, Victoria Secret. And dont let me start with their perfumes. The "heroine" could guess which perfume was by simply smelling it. Speaking of heroine... oh Jesus Christ.. what a boring, brat, teaser, confusing little girl this one is. She said herself that she lived to spend the money she never worked for and how a beaufiul naturally blonde she was. She is still a virgin at 23 and she wants to give it up to the hot rock star.. oh but she never got "intimate" with another guy. I mean.. if you let a guy go down on you and you suck him off.. doesnt it count as intimate? But whatever.. maybe the meaning of the word is different for me than what it is for the author. This one is by far one of the most terrible heroines for me.What I read last, before I got tired of those ridiculous women, was how mad the heroine was because the guys from the bands prefer to nail her best friends than to sing for her at her Bday party. That was the break point for me. I mean really?? Do I need to say anything else? Ugh....So few pages and I didnt even manage to finish... tsk tsk tsk

*Book provided for honest review*Sydney is a spoiled rich girl and her grandfather buys the rock band Scarlet Fever to play a private concert for her twenty-third birthday. That's when Sydney meets lead singer Kasper Gillian better known as Kaz. Kaz and Syd have some kind of instant connection but there is more than just lust. Sydney is a virgin and decides Kaz will be her first. After a weekend spent on a yacht for her birthday the group travels to LA. There Sydney and Kaz spend 6 weeks on a trial relationship.I know it seems like I have not rated this book very high considering I did like it. There were parts of the book got a little steamy which I certainly enjoyed. I found the character development a little shallow but then I hit the end of the book and realize its a novella introducing a series. I'm trying desperately not to one click away on only because i'm in a self imposed Amazon timeout. So with that in mind my view of the story is a little different now. I see it just a small introduction to the main characters of the series and that each character will probably be more developed as the series progresses. I am looking forward on getting to know the characters better. Kaz is on his way to becoming a book boyfriend....oh :) how I love the rockstar, alpha dominate male type. Only good things can come from getting to know him better. I can’t wait to see how Kaz and Sydney’s relationship develops in the next book.

YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!! Let me tell you this book had me on my toes. One thing I admire about Elle's writing is that she consistently delivers great books! The little details she includes while developing her characters and back story really set the tone for excellent reading! She gives you bread crumbs as you pick them up, you see bits of what molded her characters in to the people they are. This book if full of surprises, pain, heartache, Kink, steamy panty melting scenes, and love. This book made me feel things that the characters were feeling. It turns you on and has your eyes burning because you are so worried that when you blink you will loose that sexy moment that has you caught up. I honestly don't think I have yet to read a Bad book by Elle. I have been a fan of hers for a long time now, and will book stalk her till I go blind...then Audio books here I come!

**Warning some spoilers below**Honestly, I don't usually rate books badly, but this one just really disappointed me. It was rated well so I was excited to read it, but it just really fell short for me. The main character acts like she's so tough an mean, but really she's not. At one point one girl who is suppose to be her best friend get all ignorant with her, and she just sat there and took it. There is no way if one of my friends talked to me that way that I would just sit there in take it. Plus it just sort of lurches forward but nothing about the main characters really pulls me in.

it took me a bit to get into this book and this series, but when all is said and done, WOW!! I am definitely looking forward to reading other books by this author. For this book in particular, I wanted to smack the main character and how she is treated by one of her so called best friends. it is ridiculous that she allows her best friend to treat her the way that she does.I liked the relationship between the two main characters. the relationship shows that you can not judge someone before you truly know the person. the writing is good as well as the pacing for the series. a definite recommend for someone looking for a good book to read!!
