Awesome book.Dan Brown is back and with a bang...The book keep u on nerves since the very first line of the novel....The Italian architecture, the concerns of environmentalist (extremist) is depicted exceptionally well...The reference to Dante's Inferno... the first part of The Divine Comedy is very well used. Its neither too much nor too less.... just as much needed...Plus the main theme of the novel..."The Darkest Places in Hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in the times of moral crisis..."Brilliant :D

deliciously engaging !! I seriously admire this sophisticated man ..his writings are beyond amazing .. A realistic fictitious masterpiece that connected the past events with the present and future to show us that the human mentality through generations has the same traits ..the most significant point for me is Listening and considering the others thoughts and ideas instead of calling them mad and stupid ..the Essence of the book is based on dantes inferno which revealed every mystery in their mission. .... I am literally speechless .. A book to be cherished ♥

To me looks like another descriptive book for the blind, to much like a movie script. If I want to read about Florence or Venice (actually visited once ...) I buy a guide and have de photos too . Disappointed like usually. The story line is OK, do too much of the Agatha Cristi " the butler did it ... " took me a week to finis it !!!My 2% ...

I really like the premise of this book, but there was WAY too much description and not enough story here.

Took me more then a year to get through it, in between I read many other books because I just couldn't get into it. The last chapter was alright,

Okay, I liked the story as a story and unpredictable (some character revelations though were a bit predictable to me) twist of events, but was overwhelmed with too many descriptions of historical buildings, paintings, artifacts, etc. it was just too much: I personally found a lot of it was just irrelevant to the plot and just came in as forced inclusions of a vomit of historical information and architectural description, in a patronizing manner.. every time Langdon arrived to a new place I would say "O no here we go again! a new vomit is on the way!" and then I just skipped those paragraphs (or actually pages and pages) because I really did not care and my skipping did not even slightly affect the flow of events.Plus, there was no real symbol riddles or whatever Langdon usually does.. it was just taking from one batiment/building or location to the other.. and as usual, suddenly he remembers secret passages and .. well I just had a heavy feeling while reading this book.. just wangted to finish with it to know what will the end be, but then again, I do that with all books and movies.. I do not like leaving them to an undecided ending..the plot and its twists are not bad though, and the problematic is also valid. Hence the two stars' rating instead of one.I liked some other Dan Brown books better. Maybe I was aching for another genre at the moment I was reading Dan Brown.Maybe Mr. Brown should start writing some different kind of novels as a change.. John Grisham did, and his artwork A Painted House turned to be a great novel, one of the good ones I have read this year, in fact..

A wonderful read by Dan Brown! Suspense, Intrigue, and Misdirection. Robert wakes in an Italian hospital, unaware of how he got there and what happened to him. All he knows is his head is wrapped and he has a major headache. Within a few hours he also finds out someone is trying to kill him. The rest of the story is trying to figure out why and by whom. There are multiple puzzle pieces to put together.

This guide came free with my copy of Inferno, but it wasn't all that useful. Sure, it told extra facts and contained photographs on the locations in the book, but not all of the places Langdon explored in Venice and Florence were described. I wish the companion focussed more on the not so talked about sites in Italy. If it is possible that you can purchase this companion with the book like I did, I definitely think you should. Throughout the flaws, it did help understand the scenery better.

The book is an excellent mix of knowledge about art, history, Science and thriller. An engaging book which doesn't allow me to set it down. The character of Sienna has inspired me alot. The chracter of Robert has also given me an excellent insight on Italian history and culture. An extraordinary book by an extraordinary author.

Very typical Dan Brown, not to say I didn't enjoy it but probably for the first time ever in a book I knew exactly where the clues led to. So it was a little predictable for me. Nevertheless I love that these books always go to places I too have visited on past holiday's, without the murders and constant threat of death ( thankfully) .

Fun, as are the Langdon books, and suspenseful. The overlong chase scene is tiring and Brown's italicized text is gimmicky, but the great landmarks and cities helps to compensate. Unlike the Langdon novels, I didn't predict this ending and was satisfied with its direction, while left to mull over the potential crisis that is bullet-pointed in the book.

Another epic of Dan Brown trying to educate us about what we may not want to know. If facts on Florence, Italy, are not totally correct and his bit in Venice, is not right either. Then there is the scifi medical that just turned me off.

Dan Brown once again proves that he is a master of his chosen genre. An extensively researched Robert Langdon story that keeps you guessing till the very end. Some twists are such that they emerge from the pages to hit you when you are least expecting.

The book is written in the tradition of his earlier books. I enjoyed the setting and the information given on beautiful cities and their architecture and art in general. The topic discussed is also one that is intriguing. Nevertheless, this book just did not catch me the way his first books did.

Predictable idiotic plot. Bad writing. Couldn't finish the book. Becomes intolerable.
