This book is absolutely jam-packed with fascinating information, anecdotes and references. Every page offers so much, and I was so impressed by this. The author has weeded out unnecessary information and every sentence has been primed well. The lexis, syntax and tone are all accessible, making the book an enjoyable read. I learnt a lot from this book, and I would also be able to use this as a point of academic, well-regarded reference for Elizabethan life. I definitely recommend this text to those interested in Shakespeare or the Elizabethan era (for information that would be deemed too 'coarse' for other, dry textbooks!)
