    very interesting and openly "anachronistic" reading of same sex desire in the renaissance. traub discusses the meaning of "chastity" as it relates to sexual "between women" relationships. she also addresses the changes taking place in the meaning of heterosexuality during this time, and connects changing attitudes toward lesbians to "new" heterosexuality romanticism.
