Great set of short stories; just left me hungering for more! Any one of these stories has the potential to be fleshed out into its own saga... Here's hoping Mr. Maxwell finds the time to do so!

This single-author anthology of seven short stories is great. Each stands alone, each is fully developed with real characters and a nice little twist at the end (that Hitchcockian thing), and each explores the author's universe from a new angle. Very few of these marketing collections achieve the aim of convincing readers to buy further books in the series; of all the ones I've read, this came closest. Five strong stars.

I have to admit I hate anthologies and novellasBut I love backstory. This was such an awesome series I could not resist. The first story about Evora was terrific. The rest of the stories while interesting were just too far removed from the series.

Evermen Short StoriesAfter I read the first book of the Evermen saga I got these short stories. What I like about the stories in this book is the variety of characters. It was a chance to read about some of the ordinary people as well as the extraordinary

Maybe this book is more a 3 stars than a 2 stars, but I am giving a 2 because I know that James Maxwell can do a lot better. The book is a collection of short stories. They are entertaining but lacking of depth.

As usual a good read from an author who can engage your interest and maintain it.
