2013 Re-read: Wow, I think I loved this book even more on the re-read. Naya and Devlin are perfect together. So sweet, sexy and well-matched. I really like how they both fight for what they want above all else. (And the wax/ice scene still gets me. Damn)Original read: Love, love, love this book! Riley Shane is one of my absolute favorite authors and just keeps giving me great books to read. This was a fun, incredibly romantic, sexy read with light bondage/bdsm play. And it's a holiday story (Hanukkah, not Christmas for a change), AND a reunion story. Two of my favorites rolled up in eight nights of fantasy. Naya and Devlin are very endearing and seeing them find their HEA together made me deliriously happy. Highly, highly recommend.ETA: PS - the wax/ice scene. Phew!! *fans self*

Eight nights, eight chances. This was a wonderful, engaging, sweet love story. Do not be put off by the "Bondage" in the title; while Dev and Naya explore their sexual boundaries, they do it in a loving, non-threatening, sweet way. I was captured from the beginning: both Devlin and Naya are easy to like, uncomplicated. Their families are the same. What appealed immensely to me the more I read was the role their faith (Judaism) played in the story: this is the first book I've read in which the traditions and beliefs of Judaism are easily, seamlessly incorporated into a reasonably erotic romance. This is a story many readers will relate to: two adults who love each other whose lives have taken different paths yet who always gravitate back to one another. Do they finally realize what we've known all along? Read this and find out! Chocolate mousse will never look the same to me.

Despite the title what this boils down to is a holiday romance with erotic elements. Very light bondage. Devlin left Emerald Valley and Naya to pursue his dream of becoming a famous chef. Mission accomplished but has it made him happy? Naya stayed and opened a B&B with her best friend who just happens to be Devlin's sister in-law. Devlin offers to help out when Naya is short handed in the kitchen but when things start to heat up Naya wants to protect her heart. Devlin asks for a chance to see if they can’t work things out. If, at the end of their time together, Naya still believes they can't make a relationship work, the two of them will part -- for good. It's a bargain Naya can't resist, even though she fears it will end in heartbreak. Will they get a Hanukkah miracle?I loved this story. Very sweet and sensuous.

I loved, loved, loved this book! Once I started, I couldn't put it down. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. Can't wait to see what Ms. Shane publishes next.

Bed, Breakfast & Bondage was just the right amount of funny and sexy.Erotica is definitely not a genre of book that I read most often, but it's also not a genre that I shy away from. If it's done right,it can make one hot, sexy book. BB&B was definitely done right. It was clear to me from the start that both Devlin & Anaya were still in love. Anaya could try to deny it to her best friend all she wanted, but Leah and I both knew how she really felt about Devlin. The sex scenes were done to perfection. I've never been able to write sex scenes, so to see them done so brilliantly and without giving body parts stupid names, gave me confidence that I could write sexy scenes just as well. I loved how one of the terms of the agreement was that there would be no judgement on the fantasies and if either of them were not interested in a certain fantasy or it was going in a direction that they were uncomfortable with,it would be stopped immediately. That showed a lot of class to me. Sometimes in these types of books, class is lacking. Then it feels just dirty and like raw animal sex.I think I am going to give this book 4 stars. 4 only because I really wanted more and I felt like the book went too quickly.I thought I was going to say that I hated the ending but the more I think about it,the more I loved the ending.I need to go read more of Riley Shane's work now.

Riley Shane is a superb writer, both in her storytelling and the mechanics of the writing itself. This Emerald Valley story brings two former lovers--Anaya and Devlin--together during the eight days of the Jewish holiday Hanukkah. Even though Devlin once broke Anaya's heart, Anaya is willing to allow Devlin back into her life because, as a practical matter, Devlin is an accomplished chef, and Anaya is a klutz in the kitchen of the bed and breakfast she co-owns with Devlin's sister-in-law, who is large with child and unable to help Anaya with the demands of the bed and breakfast. So, Devlin not only cooks up some scrumptious food for the patrons of the B&B, but also concocts an interesting menu of sensuous delights to hopefully win back the affections of Anaya. Yes, the eight days of Hanukkah, Devlin concludes, will provide eight chances for him to regain Anaya's trust through some rather mild BDSM scenarios, all of which are based on love and, again, the reestablishment of trust between them. This is a very nice story, and I do believe those who enjoy the M/W genre spiced with a little benign kink will definitely look forward to further tales from the Emerald Valley.

Naya thought her life was complete until her ex-boyfriend came back to town to celebrate the holidays. There was a proposition that Devin and Naya agreed upon. In the end they both finally admitted that they still loved each other.I loved the book. I was a little disappointed with it. The reason was because I was lead to believe that the book was more of an erotic book. It was actually more of a romance book.

I just couldn't get into this book and gave up at around 68%. I was just so bored with the characters and the storyline, which is too bad, because it’s not a bad book. In this case, it’s me. It's so obvious what’s going to happen in the end anyway, so I just couldn’t bring myself to care. I couldn't connect with the characters either, and in the end I just gave up.

This was a cool concept, and I quite enjoyed both the hero and the heroine in this book. Overall, it was a quick, enjoyable read.
