Shoes, purses and the latest fashion can get a girl in big trouble. More than one girl has spent their last penny and maxed out a credit card or two in the name of looking good. That is exactly what happened to Anna. After years of spending well beyond her means, Anna is faced with mounting debt that her job as a banker just can't cover anymore. When it finally comes down to having to choose between keeping the lights on and paying off her credit card, she has a moment of clarity. Out of necessity, not desire, Anna becomes a frugal reformed spendthrift. She knows without changing her ways, she will never escape the confines of the shackles in which she has found herself. So, she stays out of the mall, takes her lunch to work and skips happy hour. When it becomes clear that she will never achieve financial freedom at the rate she is going, she knows a second job is the only answer.Banning the idea of waiting tables or flipping burgers, she has an epiphany and so, she turns to the section of the paper that is home to the ads for working women…no, not the professional section, the section where women in the world's oldest profession go to get work. Yes, I do mean hookers, streetwalkers, call girls, escorts…what ever you want to call them; they are all the same, just at different pay grades. Taking the initial plunge was the hardest, but once she got her feet wet, there was no turning back, the money was too good…too easy. Anna’s life was really turning around. Once she accomplished her goal she thought it would be easy to just walk away and call it quits – but nothing in life is that simple, at least not in Anna’s life. Her life has become very complex and filled with emotions she has never experienced. When she is faced with the ultimate life altering decision, what will she choose?I was immediately captivated by Anna and her story. CHOICES, the first novel in a new trilogy, was sexy, indulgent and satisfying. I can’t wait to read the rest of Anna’s journey as she continues to discover herself and all the pleasures life has to offer. This is a great choice if you are looking for some light BDSM and erotic entertainment.✳✳ Advanced Reader Copy provided by the author/publisher for an honest review.✳✳ Reviewed on I ♥ Bookie Nookie Reviews___________________________________________________If you like this type of book, you might enjoy one of these groups. This review has been crossposted from my blog at The Cosy Dragon . Please head there for more in-depth reviews by me, which appear on a timely schedule.I got this book late for a tour by my standards since the email gremlins ate my review copy! So I basically sat down right away and plowed my way through this as quickly as possible to get it done in time.Anna is likeable enough, although I completely don't agree with her life choices. I totally don't agree with her decision at the end. Is she saying regular sex isn't good enough for her? Her initial decision is fine with me though - it's her body, so it's good :) She does need to learn how to live within her means though, and work harder to save a deposit! She won't stay young forever. That bracelet intrigued me. I was super surprised she was accepting gifts, and that she would keep them at all. Also, I think she should have been more understanding about Jake, and offered him more of a chance. The perspective changes were pretty neat, and something that I thought could have added even more depth to the book. Some more perspective from her strange lover, even some from Jake's POV.This book does not practice safe sex. At all. Which put me off. And also, although I'm not a feminist, I like women with a bit of spine, and Anna certainly lacks it with Adam. Doormat! Although I guess that's the point. I hate to think of how ill she could potentially get. This book is probably tSomething that frustrated me the most about this book was the cliffhanger ending. There was no closure to speak of. None! Which is fine I guess, if the other two book are out, but they aren't until 2012.This novel seems to be written off the back of the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, and honestly I think it does a better job. There's variety in the sex, and something other than S&M for those who don't go in for that as much. The language is a lot harsher though, and some of the scenes were pretty uncomfortable. I would be interested to see where the language and storyline goes for the next one.

I have had this book on my to-read list and then it was picked for me as a challenge read. I loved the blurb and thought I would love the book. What the blurb does not say is that not only is she introduced to Dominance/Submission but that it is taken into Master/Slave…which I am not a fan of.What I liked: The premise of her financial situation was well done and believable. Her journey of self-discovery is riveting and the story held my attention from beginning to end. At 194 pages I read the whole thing in one sitting, staying up much later than I should have. Anna is a great character until it comes to Adam. I like the suspense of what is going on in the business side. What I don’t like: Grammar and Editing. There are so many errors that it was completely distracting. I read that many errors have been fixed for the printed copy, but the eBook copy I have is still full of mistakes. The Master/Slave scenario that I was not prepared for. Had I known it wasn’t just about being a submissive to a dominant sexual partner than I wouldn’t have read it to begin with. Will I read the next two books in the trilogy? I am undecided. I want to know what happens, but I have a sinking suspicion of what will (at least for a while). Hmmm decisions decisions.

Me gustó como el personaje de la heroína fue creciendo de a poco y cómo, a pesar de que su situación económica mejoró, se exploran los nuevos problemas que va a enfrentar.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author as a part of a book tour in exchange for a fair and honest review. I rated it 5 Stars and a Recommended Read With more heat than a Texas Wildfire, Galia Ryan takes her characters to the edge in Choices. With flawed personalities, unexplored sexuality and explicit language, Ms. Ryan explores the desires and determination of a young woman introduced into Dominance and submission. Ms. Ryan also introduces us to a hero so flawed, it's almost as easy to hate him as it is to like him. Upwardly mobile, college educated Anna works as a loan officer in a bank. When the economy takes a turn for the worse, and she's maxed out her credit cards and is behind on her utilities, Anna decides to get a second job. Only she can't find a second job she's qualified for which won't interfere with her day job. Looking through the want ads, Anna stumbles across an ad for an escort service. Deciding she can put her personal distaste aside for a few months in order to dig herself out of her financial problem, Anna applies for a position as an escort and gets accepted. Naive and sexually inexperienced, Anna had no idea how this temporary job would change her life.Introduced to men from only the highest social and financial classes in life, Anna soon finds herself leaving her misgivings behind and embracing her new lifestyle. Everything changes once she meets Adam, a powerful and influential client who embraces the dark side of Dominance and submission. Drawn in by her own desire Anna finds herself engaged in behavior she never expected to enjoy. Ms. Ryan did a great job with both Anna's character, her awakening sexuality and her growing addiction to a lifestyle she's just begun to explore. While I wasn't fond of Adam's style of training, or the way he treats all women, Anna could have chosen to stop him at any time. While the focus of this story is mostly on Anna and the woman she becomes, the secondary characters are important to Anna's present and her future growth. We get introduced to Stephanie, the young woman who owns the service Anna works for and we get to meet a couple of the other escorts. All educated, bright and beautiful women, they work at helping Anna adjust to her new world. We also meet Jake, a young fireman attracted to Anna. As they begin to develop a relationship, Anna will have to decide which lifestyle she wants more. What will Anna choose when she's given a choice between being "owned" by Adam and his lifestyle of luxury or walking away from it all to be with Jake and have a regular life? You'll have to read Choices to find out, I loved it and I think you will too.

Disclaimer: I received an eBook copy of Choices as a part of Innovative Blog Tour‘s Promotion for CHOICES. No promise of a positive review was made.Review: CHOICES has proven to be a difficult book to review. Despite a number of serious issues with the book, I found myself unable to turn away, addicted to reading more and ultimately looking forward to the next instalment in the series. Because of that alone I would say CHOICES is a success. The erotica is well written and exciting, full of exotic locations, enticing situations and ultimately a lot of fun. However, the issues I had are numerous though and it wouldn’t be fair not to mention them. For one, the book is in desperate need of an editor. The first line of the novel has a serious grammatical error, turning me off from the get go – (I wrote this after reading the ebook, I just received the paperback and this particular error is fixed, giving me hope for the rest of the book. Hopefully the ebook will be updated soon with the corrected copy). If this wasn’t a blog tour I would have turned away and never looked back right then. There’s no excuse for that. There are a number of missing words, unclosed quotes, a general overuse of adjectives and incorrect parts of speech and pronouns making it a frustrating read. In addition, the writing is extremely passive and full of stale narrative, especially in the first half. The attempt to create background and a world leave the reader cold and without much action or investment in the situation. However, at about half way through, CHOICES really picks up. When the author gets into the relationship between Anna and Adam, there’s no doubt of her skill. The sex is hot, the scenes descriptive and the pace thrilling. With proper story doctoring the rest of the story could easily be brought up to the same standard as those scenes, making the whole book head and shoulders better. For example: “He sounded more than a little drunk as he splashed wine into their glasses” could be fixed to “He slurred his words, hand unsteady as he tipped the bottle of wine to splash into their glasses.”At $4.95, the price point is far to high for a book in need of this level of work. However, it is a fun and engaging read once you get into it. I give CHOICES a solid 3 stars.

Choices is the first release in the Secrets and Lies trilogy. Anna is a smart and driven young woman working her way up the ladder in the banking industry. When the economy take a turn for the worse her income does as well. Finding herself in desperate need of some added income she decides to get a part time job and after not finding anything that wouldn’t affect her bank job she reluctantly interviews with an upscale escort service. Anna soon realizes that the money is worth the things she’s asked to do, she’s even enjoying the clients she has. That is until she is booked with Adam, a regular with the escort service, and a powerful, rich, sexy, dominant. Adam demands things from Anna that she knows she should find repulsive, yet she can’t stay away. However after each meeting she swears she won’t see him again. When her old neighbor, Jake, comes into her life she is torn between her two lives, Anna the banker, and Chloe her escort persona. Jake can give her the loving normal life she used to want, while Adam can give her a rich and extravagant life she could only dream of, but at what expense.I really liked Anna’s character even though there were several times I just wanted to be able to shake her. She seemed a little too easily manipulated by Stephanie the escort service owner, as well as by Adam. Adam is a character I hated until the very end of the book. His borderline abusive attitude toward Anna went beyond a healthy D/s relationship. There was no mutual understanding or respect, she is his slave, plain and simple…Or is it really? Adam give us a brief glimpse of a possible softer side, but it’s gone within a blink. I really hope he redeems himself in the next book because the things he says and does to Anna makes it really hard to not hate him. Jake is the all around nice guy but I’m not sure if he can really give Anna all that she needs.Galia Ryan has given us the mother of all cliffhangers in this book. Luckily we know there are at least 2 more books to come and they can’t come too soon. This book is not a happily ever after D/s romance read, but if you like stories with plenty of emotional ups and downs, steamy sex scenes, and a little darker side to your romance you will love Choices.**Reviewed by Rhonda Valverde for**

Anna is an intelligent, self-motivated, goal-oriented woman who finds herself in a slight financial pinch. She has a good job as a senior lending specialist and makes decent money, but when the economy takes a slump she finds that her paychecks just aren’t going as far as they use to. She decides to take on a second job. The job search draws her into an escort agency. She is weary at first, but quickly finds that she enjoys taking on the role of “Chloe”, her sexy alter-ego. She thinks she has things under control until she meets the dominating Adam.Adam is a sexy, demanding, intense lover. He treats Anna like she is his sex slave. At first she doesn’t know if she likes it, but soon is driven to be with him whenever he calls for her. Adam introduces Anna to a side of herself she didn’t know existed. He humiliates her, he gives her to others, he demands she not get any pleasure from him only gives it to him. And she likes it! Finds herself yearning for him. Then she meets Jake. The boy next door….literally. She falls for him, but can’t be honest with him about her job. Her decision to quit the agency for him is met with disapproval from the agency mistress, Stephanie, and the ever demanding Adam (who has against all his wishes fallen for Anna, but won’t let her know). Anna is given the ultimate choice: leave the agency and have a “normal” life with Jake, or follow her heart (and her desires) and go with Adam….This book is filled with the kind of intense sexual experiences you would only wish to have in your fantasies. Not only that but it puts into perspective just how far we can be willing to go for money and for love. We are never willing to admit to ourselves just how far we want to go to please our partners. This book makes you think about what it would be like to actually follow that kinky side of yourself and put sexual satisfaction before all else. I truly enjoyed reading Choices. Galia Ryan did an excellent job keep you turned on right to the last page. **I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The choices that we all make shape our futures. This is certainly true for down on her luck Anna. Hit by the financial downturn and struggling to pay her bills and debts, banker Anna is desperately trying to find a second job. She tries all the usual avenues of bars and restaurants but without experience she is out of luck. When she spots an advert for an Escort Agency, she reluctantly sets out to investigate and finds herself taking a tentative step into the world of high-class escorts. This is her journey as she explores the world with a variety of clients. These include an older gentleman who initiates her into the work of an escort; an estate agent; a construction worker; a 17 year old and more. But her ultimate client is Adam. He demands her submission over and over again, pushing her to her limits. Anna relishes her time with him and the control he exerts over her but will it be enough for Anna? Will Anna be enough for him? When Anna meets Jake outside of work, can she make it work? Will she be honest with him? Can she make a vanilla relationship work? Anna is in a desperate situation when we first meet her but she is tough and picks herself up, dusts herself down and tries something way outside of her comfort zone. Escort work suits her and she grows in confidence with each new client. The reasons for her continuing as an Escort change as she pays off her debts, but it is her choice to continue on. She is confused by how she feels when she is with Adam but she needs the dominating character that he is. Adam is successful, confident and knows exactly what he wants and for now that is Anna's complete submission. With a cast of down to earth characters and some incredibly hot and spicy scenes, this is a read that is sexy and captivating. It is a perfect blend of sweetness and naughtiness. The choices that Anna has to make will shape her future. What will she choose?

4 fangsThis book was gifted to me by Paranormal Romance and authors that rock and Galia Ryan.Anna was raised to be a traditional girl who went to college and majored in business. Her parents made a fuss about her moving to the city away from them and getting an apartment way out of her price range. That same day her mother told her she had cancer and it was untreatable. Anna said she’d find an apartment close to home and help. Her mom wouldn’t have it because she wanted her baby to live her dream. Only if Anna would have fought would she have never saw the underside of the city and became an Elite Escort. In debt up to her ears Anna was desperate. She went to Stephanie who love the way she looked and offered her a deal to get her started on company dime and she’d pay it back. Yep she took the deal and became one of the most requested escorts. Unfortunately she was booked with a man who liked his escorts as whores and slaves named Adam. Anna complied. Until one day she started dating this amazing Firefighter, Jake. He changed her mind and made her realizes she didn’t want to be dominated, or did she? Will she pick Jake or the Dom Adam? Read on.I’m not too familiar with books like this but it was interesting. Adam seems to be broken beyond repair until the end. Anna shows signs of being a true submissive and slave. I loved Anna as herself and not as her escort side, Chloe. I really loved Jake and his loving side, but it sounds like Anna isn’t sure what she wants. The other escorts made me giggle, especially Sabine. This book is erotica and domanatircs so 18+ for sure.

This was my first read by Galia and you know...I liked it! It was a bit different from what I have read before with different POV's woven in. Normally when you have multiple aspects, things can get choppy and muddled but this worked and the story flowed right along. Anna is broke and getting to the end of the line financially. With constant reminders of past due bills coming in the mail, Anna knows she has to do something fast. Her salary at the bank just isn't going to cut it. She's smart and well educated but is unable to find that added income to balance her situation. At a last ditch effort, she decides to call on an escort agency, just to see what it's all about. But soon she is drug in fully to the lifestyle, enjoying the financial freedom and even the male attention. She meets Adam, a seductive client who introduces her to the world of Dominance and submission. She is faced with the choice of living in his world, a slave to his every whim, or having a 'normal' life with the man she loves."Please," she begged without thinking."Have you forgotten already?" "No," her voice shook."No, what?"She had no idea what he wanted from her. He walked beside her."No Master," he whispered in her ear."Now tell me what it is you haven't forgotten.""That I am here for your pleasure, Master. And not my own."

WOW!This story grasped me and I read within a day. The story is about Anna a young, intelligent girl who works at a bank. She gets herself carried away overspending and pretty much drowns herself in debt. Attempting to find a solution to her financial situation, -not her first choice- she gets a job as a high end escort. We see the initial strugles Anna encounters coming to terms of becoming an escort. We also see as Anna rediscovers herself and finds a dark side of her she didn't even know she had. At the end of the book Anna is left to make a pretty life altering decision with two choices. Yes! the book ends with a cliffhanger. I kind of have a feeling of her choice, but we'll have to wait for the sequel to know what happens.

I really enjoyed this book. Anna's reasons for needing to turn to Escorting were really believable and drew me into believing her predicament. I enjoyed seeing Anna progress from shy and timid in her role as Escort to confident and in control. The title Choices comes from the fact that she ends up sort of "dating" two different men. One is a client who has a dominant/submissive sexually charged relationship with her and the other has no idea about her Escort job and has the tradition hearts and flowers romantic relationship. Although both men bring different and equally fulfilling lifestyle choices for her, I personally found myself rooting for Team Dom/Sub. The scenes with him were VERY hot and I found myself rereading them often. This book was a great start to a great trilogy.

An interesting book, if only because the way it approaches topics such as greed, lust, and love are rather unique. It feels like a very different journey of sexual exploration than what you're used to from other books. The main character - Anna - is a bit hard to grasp though. And the only real issue I have with the book is that you often feel that the author omits information that feels rather important to know. There are a lot of times where Anna makes a tough decision, or explores a new part of herself, and so on, where you don't really get insight into what she's thinking - her emotional state and all that. But all in all it's a very enjoyable, taboo-ish, sexy, and quick read. So I'm obviously going to read the next one in the series.

So Anna is totally broke from years of over spending and the only choice she has to find an extra job to make ends meet. When she finds that the only part-time job that pays well is being a private escort her life changes. She meets two men who can offer her something but not everything she wants so who does she choose Jake or Adam. This book kept me totally hooked I really liked Anna’s character although I thought she was stupid for getting in so much debt with credit cards in the first place. I also liked both Adam and Jake so now I am left to wait until book 2 of the Luxuria Trilogy is released to see who Anna chooses.

I think I kind of really hate this book. Like I really, really vehemently disliked it and I can't understand how the reviews are so high on Amazon and on Goodreads! Anyways, the story was poorly written and it definitely didn't make any sense, it was gross and I'm very annoyed that I wasted my time. I keep thinking that if I try hard enough I can find an author as interesting as Kitty Thomas and so far its been a huge disappointment and I really need to stop.

"Choices" is the first in "The Luxuria Trilogy" trilogy by Galia. I love how she pens "Choices" in a plot filled with intense sexual experiences that some of us only dream of. With characters that are strong enough, you will find yourself hooked and turning the pages. I can't wait for the next book to come out and see what develops. This review is based on a complimentary copy from the author which was provided for an honest review.

What can I say? This was simply a pleasure to read - in one sitting might I add. It is difficult to decide how I feel about the characters, not to speak about the end... Anna is torn between who she really is, what she needs to do to live her life in a way that suits her and the intentions of the people around her. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes a twist and a turn!
