There was nothing majorly wrong with this story, but there also wasn't much that was special about it either. Here's a couple of random thoughts:- The characters were cute enough (Preston is especially adorkable), but entirely forgettable. - The sexy times were sweet, but I could have done with a dash of spice to keep things interesting. - The dialogue (both spoken and internal) was awkwardly formal - no man I know in his twenties chooses his words quite so precisely as both of these characters seemed to. Example A: "It is I who is thankful for you, Justin." Like, seriously?! I want to dredge up my grammar text from first year English and smack the author over the head with it. - I can't help it - it always kinda weirds me out when a male MC calls another male MC "beautiful" as an endearment (and after the start of their first date Preston does this a lot). Use "babe" or "handsome" or pretty much anything else and leave the gag-inducing use of "beautiful" for the hets. - The romance was FULL ON as soon as their first date started. I'm usually a sap for a happily ever after and can tolerate an insta-love story, but this was a bit much. - And that ending?! Improbable doesn't even begin to describe it.That's it. I'm out! *drops mic and walks off stage*

3.5*Sweet and totally angst and conflict free story.Justin office drone and not really loving it slowly becomes friends with Preston and engineer in the company.Preston has been admiring outgoing and good looking Justin for a while, but Preston being sort of quiet and shy hasn't been on Justin's radar except for some very loud choices in shirts! This was exactly what I wanted and expected, a really sweet fairytale like story with a HEA.

Awww this was so so sweet. So glad they gave each other a chance and Preston was one sexy nerd:-) He treated Justin so good and special. This story is a love story nothing heavy but just very sweet:-) I could have kept reading about these two!

4 HeartsFirst published at MM Good Book Reviews is suffering from a hangover one morning, when Preston takes pity on him and offers him coffee and aspirin. Justin is grateful, but isn’t sure what to make of the geeky engineer. when they fall into a routine of spending lunches together, Justin starts to realize just how much he enjoys being with Preston. Preston has hopes of getting closer to Justin and when Justin invites him to join him on a night out, Preston wonders if he isn’t too different from Justin to keep his attention. This is a soft gentle romance that takes its sweet time, as the characters of Justin and Preston get to know each other and discover their love for each other. Justin hasn’t really noticed Preston other than as a work colleague, but when Preston asks him to lunch he begins to enjoy spending time together as friends. Preston has always noticed Justin, but has held back as Justin is his opposite. Confident, outgoing and fun-loving, whereas Preston is quite, withdrawn and geeky. But, spending time with Justin makes Preston lighten up and Justin begins to see Preston in a new light.I loved this gentle romance, it was very easy-going, progressing from work colleagues to friends and eventually to lovers with no conflict or angst or spanners being thrown in the works, *sigh* just a true romance of slowly falling in love. Justin and Preston are wonderful characters both of them with their own unique personalities but accepting other people’s personalities and seeing below the outer surface. I really liked the fact that the attraction was brought in slowly, while they were getting to know each other, giving them something solid to work from.I am recommending this to those who love gentle, slow building, love stories, incredible love-making, opposites attracting and finally an incredibly happy ending.

There is just something about Andi Anderson's books. I always know going into one that I will end it with a smile on my face. A Hold on His Heart is no exception.Justin and Preston are complete opposites. Preston is a straight-laced, self-described geek and Justin is a pretty party boy. Preston is an engineer and Justin is a clerk in his office. Justin is outgoing. Preston is shy. They form a friendship at work that turns into much more. This is a beautiful love story. It's opposites attract and friends to lovers. It was such a pleasure watching Preston go from being the shy man with a crush to confident and openly in love with Justin.I fell in love with both Justin and Preston. Both so different but absolutely perfect for each other. As with the author's other books, there are not a lot of conflicts or misunderstandings. Just two men finding their way to each other and to their HEA.Another great story by Andi Anderson. Review can also be found at On Top Down Under Book Reviews.

Adorable characters with a sweet happy ending. I enjoyed the "geek factor" in this book. Sweet, quirky, shy Preston takes the initiative in this story to finally establish first a friendship then a relationship with the man he's had his eye on for months - Justin. Justin has only really ever noticed Preston as one of the engineers he works for and he never showed any interest in spending time with Preston. But once Preston gains the nerve to ask Justin out to lunch, a bond is formed between the two that only grows stronger throughout the story. It's a very sweet, light read with a happy ending. (And FYI, as an Arkansas girl, myself, I can attest that if you've ever been to Disco and seen Kelly Cruise, she's always on point and so very entertaining.)

I dare you not to fall in love with Justin. Is every boy fairytale come true, Preston and Justin seem very different in personality but deep down they are the same and they are both looking for the love of their life.Is a happy book! This is a light sweet novella about dating a working colleague. The storyline circles around an office romance between Preston & Justin. The beginning was pulling and interesting. For my taste everything between Preston & Justin develops to fast.

This is a sweet tale of two office workers – the sort of nerdy engineer Preston and the party boy Justin. Preston loves his job, Justin hates his. When Preston gets the courage to invite Justin out (luckily not in Justin’s head where he is chastising Preston for the effects the brightness of his shirt are gaving on the hungover Justin), he is so sweet and adorable. He has to work up to a “sassy wink”, but Justin had already looked away. Preston is just cute. When Preston takes Justin to lunch (on infamous hangover day), I felt so bad for him at one point, apologizing for what he thinks is bulldozing Justin into going. There are a couple spots where I felt bad for Preston, because of other people. The first half of this was a solid 4 for me, but then it sort of went really quickly with a lot of endearments “beautiful”. I thought there was a lot of potential to develop the relationship that was passed up making it a little too simple. Romantic and cute, a fluffy one!

Read on 1-17-142.5 StarsI don't know. I think this could have been a lot better if it was longer.I had too many questions... (view spoiler)[So did Justin stop going clubbing? If not, did Preston go with him? What about Justin's friends? Were they nicer to Preston or did Justin stop hanging out with them? Did Justin stop dressing all glitzed up? This basically went from 2nd date to one year later. I wanted more of the in between. (hide spoiler)]Overall, it was sugary sweet.

Justin and Preston are co-workers. Justin thinks Preston is kind of strange but he ends up heading out to lunch with him and discovers a new side to Preston. They move slowly, trying things out that the other one enjoys. Preston is encouraging to Justin. The story is sweet and using the epilogue to wrap things up keeps the story from feeling rushed and gives a more natural progression to their relationship.

So damned bad. These people can't write. Everything is told, not shown. The repetition is wondrously high. The dialogue is extremely unnatural. The protagonists are stereotypical, cliched and are stock characters. The grammatical and editorial errors are profuse. There is no story here. There is no writing ability either.

the story was ok.. I think it would have been better if it was longer...2 mmen working together, one has had a crush on the other for a while and finally works up the nerve to ask him out.. It was a sweet story, great sex scene but I do feel the MC were not really fit for each other... but still a sweet story.. nice to pass the time with.

A short sweet and totally angst free read. Very relatable story of getting a gorgeous guy to notice cute enough but awkward looking you (Preston). OR as the gorgeous one (Justin), recognizing the diamond in the rough.
