Yet another required read, but highly interesting because approx. 58 million people in the US suffer from some form of depression, we may not even realize it if it is a mild case. Depression can rear it's ugly head in many different levels and categories. Although depression is very complex in nature, it is very treatable if treatment is sought out. This is the premise of this book. It is compassionately written, clear, and concise. The book covers everything from state-of-the-art treatments for depression to how to help family members cope with persons in their family who suffer from depression. The book delivers somewhat of a 'message of hope' to the reader whether they are the one suffering or the one learning to cope with a loved one who is suffering. An overall good read.
