Good old fashioned zombie fun. I love end of the world books and this one did not dissapoint. The nuclear part was interesting as well and the amount of action was like literal crack. Mama likes!!!

Another great zombie read. This was different than most zombie stories because he seemed to create an entire new world after a nuclear attack. Although it was a short story it seemed to really take you on a journey. I can't wait to see how the story progresses with the sequel.

(I've added the following to my review on amazon:I've since realized that it's a common practice for indy writers to publish as they go, and I'm sure the final, book-length version will make up for the quibbles I had below.)This author shows a lot of promise. I'm definitely interested in reading more from him, although I'll feel cheated if this turns into a book peddled chapter by chapter disguised as "short stories". While the author is promising, he either needs a better editor or to edit his work a little more thoroughly. That said, his writing is infinitely better and still has less mistakes/typos than in the book I'm reading now (The Rising). What I really enjoyed was the fresh take on apocalyptic monsters (for lack of a better word). While certainly inspired by zombies, they're something altogether new. I'd urge those interested in the genre to check this one out.

One of the best zombie books I've read. Really excited about the sequel. My favorite part about the book was the whole new world built which leaves a lot of directions for the next book to go. There weren't just zombies, but mutated giant lion things and other stuff. Hungry for part 2.

Short read, but really good. According to the ending there's a sequel on it's way so guess I'll wait and see.

Exciting quick read. The opening scene hooked me. I felt like I was there with poor old Nielson. Favorite character had to be Marcus, that kid was funny. I hope to see more of him in the sequel.

Holy balls batman this was a great book. I loved the pacing and how action packed it was. The only let down was this was a short story :-(

Best short story ever! I wanted it to keep going. When it ended i was so sad. I could not stop reading it. I literally could picture everything so perfect that it was like a mini movie going on in my head. Really great work.

Great read. The description is really what drew me in, I mean I felt like I was running with the guy at the beginning of the book. Can't wait for the 2nd part.

Loved this!!! Unfortunately can't find part 3. Does Rashad Freeman actually finish anything he writes or just come up with amazing story plots to leave you hanging with a cliffhanger stop?

I agree with most of the other reviews, really good read. Could've been longer, but it is a shorty story.

"Apocalypse" by Rashad Freeman is a book that popped up on Amazon as a recommendation so I downloaded it. But, I was tricked. The category and story was something I like to read, but this book turned out to be a Short Story. There needs to be a disclaimer on Amazon for books like this so the customer does not believe it is a full book. Oh Well. If my expectation had been a short story, might not have been so bad. This is one of the negatives of Ereading. You do not actually pick up a physical book and feel its heft or see the thickness.Since it was awful short, it dives right into the middle of an apocalypse with strange things running around in the dark. I am guessing they were monsters too since a couple of people in the book fell down while running and were immediately devoured. I am not sure, but they were probably women. Women always fall down when monsters are chasing them. No doubt about it. This author was fairly gruesome in his descriptions too. Nothing shorted out of those scenes in the book. Anyway, it was fairly decent, but cannot give it a good rating because it was over as soon as it began. There was an excerpt for a forthcoming book of his and might take a look when it comes out. Maybe.

Loved it! Quick short read, but lots of action and a pretty good storyline. Haven't been able to find the sequel so I hope it's on the way out.
