Dillon and his partner, Kyle, are werewolves determined to become her mates. Just one problem-she shows up for her appointment with fate while wearing another man's engagement ring. The wolves will shamelessly pursue her, using every seductive trick in a cowboy's book to rope their mate. But even the combined desire of two insatiably virile werewolves may not be enough when Aimee's boss-slas-fiance and Kyle's pack mates show up to challenge Dillon and Kyle's right to claim the woman they have dreamed of. ** A Siren Erotic Romance...

Disowned Cowboys Reviews
Can I ask what is so wrong with a woman needing a man with some coins? Let's be serious here; love don't pay rent or the bills. I hate when women are shamed and called gold diggers when they want a man with some financial means, as if being a woman automatically means you don't have any financial matters to take care of. Therefore, I appreciate that Aimee has a realistic outlook on life and relationships. After all: " I don't want no scrubs. . . " Too often in romance books, the heroine loses her personality to appease the men who show interest in her. I was happy that Aimee held true to her character throughout the book.I also didn't like the slut shaming and glorification of virginity. The main leads would always throw shade on women they didn't like by calling them 'slut', as if a woman who enjoys casual sex isn't deserving of respect. (view spoiler)[The scene where Aimee walks into the bar with a pretty dress, and the men were like 'you want somebody to pick you up because you have on a pretty dress with cleavage' (paraphrase)rubbed me the wrong way. What a woman wears is none of your concern. When I put on a pretty dress, its because I feel good about my self, and I like how I look. It's not for any males viewing pleasure. (hide spoiler)]Aimee could have also used some sex ed on how intercourse works.(view spoiler)[ With enough foreplay, you should have little to no pain when you engage in sex. If it hurts, it means you weren't lubricated enough, or you weren't relaxed enough and you tensed up, etc.(hide spoiler)]Actually, now that we are on the topic, (view spoiler)[ can someone please explain to me why no lube was used when they were doing anal? The author made it sound good while they were getting on, but all I could think of was 'ooh, that must feel like rug burn' And when they were doing anal on Aimee, they didn't even stretch her before hand. All I could think about was the pain she realistically should have felt. (hide spoiler)]And that's all I have to say about that.

I could go for being the soft filling in a double meat sandwich like Aimee was with Kyle and Dillon. I did enjoy the fact that she was not an easy catch for the two men so they had to work at convincing her she was meant to be their mate. I loved the humor that both men had and their playful doglike personality throughout the story. I think I would enjoy having two men in my life like them and knowing that wolves mate for life would make it even more meaningful. I had to laugh at her proposed fiancé and boss David, with his ring-around-the-desk as Ms. Rose called it. However, things get far out of whack with three men after her. Then there was her mother. She played a part in the internal conflict, starring in all the battles Aimee was fighting in her mind. The road to love for the three main characters was not an easy one and that's what kept me from putting the book down until the wee hours of the morning. The author did a fantastic job in adding a whole new dimension to the legend of the age old werewolf plot. The sex scenes where hot, from Aimee witnessing two men pleasuring each other in human and beast form, to being pulled into the middle of a three way loving. Even though the relationship moved fast throughout the story the plot was laid out in such a way that it was believable and romantic. All around, Disowned Cowboys had a well laid out plot, good editing, and some really hot sex scenes; three things that make this story a keeper in my book. If you love hot ménages and werewolves you may want to add this one to your shopping list.
Disowned Cowboys is a sexy story of love and sacrifice. To have what the heart desires sometimes one must give up something they value. Aimee is a genuine character utterly believable for her emotions. I found the story rather difficult to immerse myself in because it seemed too weak. I found the storyline to be uninteresting, and without the sex the book would fall flat. If you would like another take on the story of werewolves then Disowned Cowboys is the one for you.Delane Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & MoreOfficial Review @ Coffee Time Romance & More
What an exciting book! It combines a number of genres: Erotic Paranormal, Ménage a Trois Romance, M/M/F, werewolves, bondage, and public exhibition. J. Rose Alister writes Disowned Cowboys with a flair for description and character development. Add to that a plot that is so rousing that you can’t put the book down even if it means staying up almost all night to finish it and you’ve got a winner.
I realize the reader needs to suspend belief in reality in order to appreciate shifter/werewolf stories. However, I felt the situations in this book were just too much to get wrapped up in. It had a good HEA, but I don't think I'll be reading any subsequent books. Others have given this better reviews, and this is just my opinion. Other readers should decide for themselves on its merits.
Lots of twists and turns in the story with a variety of characters but the story flowed. Kept me hooked to the end of the book.
I read this a few months ago and while I was shocked about the storyline I was also excited. It was a good read but I wished for a bit more action and well less territorial issues.
