Power Play Reviews
We see a much brattier side of the main character in this one.Well, I guess she never really was a very good person. But in the last book she would write "...And then for some stupid reason I did X, and now I feel really bad and guilty about it." In this book the narrative is more immediate, so she writes "...And I felt angry and impulsive, so I did X, and I can feel the people around me think I'm a terrible person." It's much less cute. The plot continues apace. (view spoiler)[Falchion is totally the badguy. (hide spoiler)] Cliffhanger endings make me sad.
I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as the first. Throughout most of the book I just wanted to slap Charlotte. I did enjoy learning more about C2.
