Kings In Grass Castles: Sons In The Saddle Reviews
This is a great book, a worthy sequel to Kings in Grass Castles, and should be read by everyone who has an interest in Australian history. Its very detailed and can be a bit of a chore at times, but the amount of diarised detail covering all aspects of early life is just astounding. My only complaint is that it stopped short: I wanted more about Michael Duracks later life as well especially as I bought the book at the reconstructed Argyle homestead, the original site now being under the waters of Lake Argyle. Endlessly fascinating.
Sequel to Kings In Grass Castles. Just as interesting. This book takes us into the 1900s and tells how the family spread throughout Queensland and Western Australia.
