Can you imagine a point in your life where a person for whom you left your parents & pleasure is struck in a hotel taken over by terrorists, bullets & bombs ?! On a pleasant November night, when India was going to sleep, Anirudh's love for his Pregnant wife Aparajitha met with a terrifying enemy who marched into the streets of Mumbai killing hundreds. Set in the backdrop of 26/11 (Mumbai Attack), this book penetrates deep into the mind of the readers and orients them with the story line. Racy, gripping page-turner.Awesome book I've ever read from debut author ! ♥ The transition between past & 26/11 is perfect and well-paced ♥ ! Nowhere they are out of context !Apu & Ani ♥ ! They're the simple yet captivating pair who are characterized out of the box. :D ! I related each and every character of the story to the people I know. They're not at all pretentious. Practical, simple & sweet romantic tale with a nail-biting finish ;) ♥ !Trust me, this story will linger in your mind for a long time.

This book is one of the best I have ever read. The book has a complete mixture of love and emotions which will make you laugh and even cry sometimes. Once you start reading it, you just can’t put it down until the end. The best thing about this novel is the transitions . they have been managed well . Apu ♥ & Ani ♥ ! The book was not too filmy or didn't have a triangular love stories . :P Thekolhapuri chappals & The beige color nail polish♥ i wouldn't forget that easily . Thewedding vowpart did bring a broad smile in my face . I could relate myself to ani in lot of places ! :D the last fifty pages . its indeed a page turner . you couldn't keep it down . the climax - if it don't bring a drop of tear in your eyes , you not human ! why abimanyu jha ? why ? why did think of such an ending? It will be a perfect travel read . Do read . ♥

This is a book i read in a train journey. I felt a little heavy hearted at the end of the book. This is based on the mumbai terror attack and it helps us to imagine what really could have happened inside the Taj hotel. Over all a good book and very good narration.

One more touching tale from a Indian author..I always liked reading novels by Indians.. The tagline, "when love won over terror", is what tempted me in reading this book..As the name says, 'dilli-mumbai love story', and from the cover design, we can say it has something to do with 26/11. The best part of the book, about 80% of book is just about Aniruddh's, the hero, love story. How they met eachother, how they fought, how they got together again and the life after that.. Till, Apu, the heroine gets stuck in the Taj hotel during the terrorist attack. The last 50 pages of the book deals with the story after Apu gets stuck in the terrorist attack in Taj hotel. The story from here on was so interesting.. Every single emotion, god, was expressed beautifully.. I was turning a page every 2 minutes from here on. I was not going to put this down until i complete reading it.If you like love stories from Indian authors, you will definitely love this one.. It will be a page turner, anyone will complete it in just one go...A little boring in the beginning but it got interesting eventually... A VERY TOUCHING TALE..

I purchased this only because I was specifically looking to read a contemporary Indian author, whatever the genre be. And it turned out to be a nice read. The plot itself was not very gripping, but the author's narrative is fairly sophisticated, and the prose flows smoothly. Some Indian authors lack the command needed over the English language to write prose, what with incorrect syntax and wrong verbiage. This novel did not disappoint on those counts. The story I have to say is slightly Bollywoodish, but that's acceptable given it is a love story (and not so much of a 'romance' novel, if such a differentiation is achievable!), with human emotions nicely garnished throughout. I really liked the ending -- for the sensitive yet light manner it is narrated.Perhaps I would have liked the novel better had I read this about a decade back while in college. Overall, a pleasing read, and at a little over 150 pages (on the Kindle), a quick one too.

Another new author to India Writers Bandwagon from the IIT/IIM Club. The story starts with the flashback of The Taj Mahal Hotel terrorist attack in Mumbai and ends with the narration of the love story, in the same hotel. It’s all about two passionate lovers, who were well-educated with two different family backgrounds and cultures falling in love and getting married against the wishes of the boy’s family but end up in a tragic climax wherein the boy loses his life in order to save his wife from the terrorist attack.Aparajita, a middle class IITian, from Goa is a Christian girl who falls in love, (undoubtedly, love at first sight), with Aniruddh, a rich flamboyant youngster studying Economics in Delhi University, who hails from a traditional Sindhi family. The story revolves around these two just like scores of mature love stories across the world and ultimately get married against the wishes of Aniruddh’s parents. Aniruddh separates himself from his family on this pretext and leads a humble life along with his wife who later becomes pregnant. All went well until one day Aniruddh gets into a small duel with Apu (Aparijita) which leads to her walking out of the house to her friend’s place in Mumbai which in turn, turns out to be her deadly day of running into terrorist attack she and her friend were outing at the Taj Mahal Hotel. Aniruddh realizes his mistake and makes a desperate attempt to save his beloved wife from death, but in the meanwhile, meets his own while Apu is rescued. The love story though is not new is narrated in rather a different tone with lot of local jargon and not-so witty humour. Somehow the narration could not garner enough tempo for an active page turning experience, though the synchronization was alright. The feeling of love was not so ecstatic and passionate to be remembered for long after closing the book.Congratulations to the author in bringing out this book successfully but wish him more success and fan-following in his forthcoming releases.

We all sympathise, whenever a terrorist attack or any natural calamity happens, for a few minutes and then carry with our own work. How does the family feel at that time? What goes through an individual during that time? We won't know unless we are in the situation. It may be easy to say that we know how you had felt. Truth is; not possible to feel. What starts as a casual love story turns into a rebellious one for the protoganists. A boy leaving his comfort zone for his true love and creating their own comfort zone. The effort of the leading lady is commendable in bringing the family together, only because of the stubbornness of the male character that this story could have happened. The almost minute by minute narration of the terror day was exemplary. It was vivid for a reader to sense and understand the situation. I feel I could sometimes hear the heartbeat of Apu when the gun shots were going on. I could align myself with the inert state of Ani when he was just 100 meters away from the crime scene and yet nothing could be done. After reading a few wannabe Indian writers I was expecting a typical bollywood type ending, however, there was a pleasant surprise. The death of a character brought more out of the story. Certainly this book may not be screenplayed, as Indian audiences do not like to see the end of a hero. Barring this almost everything seems fine with the author's effort. Will read his second novel and hope that was will be also an exciting one going by the synopsis of it.All the best for your efforts and hope we get to read more from you.

So this is old stuff....a rich guy and a not so rich girl falls in love.....girl's family agrees to the relation but guy's family is reluctant to their relation....so the guy leaves the home and marries the girl with blessings of girl's family and some friends and ofcourse lad's sister is also there.so they leads a happy life but one day the lad finds out his wife is meeting his mother without his knowledge.the guy looses his temper and leaves the house (only for that night).when he came back next morning he finds his wife has fled to her house(goa)via mumbai.he calls his wife and now she is in mumbai wit her friend and said she is going out with her that evening for a toast at taj.so he is on his way to mumbai to meet his wife.but unfortunately that day coincided with day the terrorists have decided to carry out an attack on mumbai mainland.ohh i missed a point she is pregnant.find out the rest for yourself........i think after chetan bhagat's fPS i think it became mandatory that one of the lead characters in every college romance should study in iit or famous colleges like st.stephens....i cann't understand why only iit people falls in love and get fucked...this is total injustice to people like me who did their studies at less known colleges...ok now why i gave it 3 stars....for all its breast cupping and fucking and for the 2 sexy babes the protagonist owned.....

The work by Abhimanyu Jha is great. The story mainly revolves around the hero Ani and heroine Apu.The fear of losing a dear one, brings all the agony and that is elucidated in this novel. The love blossoms between Apu and Ani. One day, when they had a lill fight, Ani had accidentally made Apu to fall in the trap of Terrorists in Taj, Mumbai.. Yes.. the same incident that strikes u now. In a deeper struggle in saving his endeared Ani, he loses something.. Read the novel to get to know.

Good Love Story Worth Reading. The way love portrayed between Ani and Apu is Good.Their Marriage promise oh God I wish every couple should make a promise like that. One sentence still brings some kind of haunting in me when Uncle Gill said "The old misses the young than the, young misses the old". The same way my mom and dad use to miss mebut never expressed :(. Over all worth reading this book.

It was in late 2011 when I received the book with Abhimanyu's signature in it, that make me bit excited to have such original autographed paperback. thank you.Let's move to the story inside. It is recited really fabulously, i just feel myself there in Taj, each and every details of terror in 26/11 make me feel like a camera person in live coverage.Though, love-buds feel grief in the last chapter.

That's a kind of story which initially starts with a slow pace and ends up in a hurry... The final part of the story where the saviour becomes the victim and the victim is rescued is a kind of plot that is little unbelievable... Overall good try by the debutant and good choice of the story but could have been better.
