This series just keeps getting better and better, I love this! The character development is great, I can't help but feel so connected to the story. There are so many things that have happened and I am so happy with everything. Whenever I finish a volume, I feel shocked because of how fast paced it is. This is a great series and I hope everyone will give it a try.Clean up after yourself. If you want to be accepted, you must accept yourself first. Shizuku is a studybug who thinks of her studies as the highest priority. Haru is a guy who was suspended on the first day of school and hasn't return since. Shizuku was given the job to give Haru his homework along with convincing him to come back to school. After meeting Shizuku, Haru can't help but feel relieved that someone isn't scared of him and wants to keep her by his side for as long as he can. They form a cute relationship that is confusing but sweet. Whenever I read this, the characters always say at least one line that sticks with me. I learn so much from this series about life and about things that I should try out. The characters are all the same, they are all amazing in their own way. The character development is great as well, I can see how much stronger the characters are and how different they were from when the series first started. I love how all of the characters support each other and look out for each other. I love seeing how every relationship progresses in this series. The characters are all bold in their own way, which makes me think about how I should feel more confident. The pacing is perfect, sometimes I feel like like it is fast while other times it is kinda slow, which balances everything out. I can't believe I am this far in this series already and I can't wait to read the next volume.I highly recommend this to everyone!

This volume was so cute and it seems like the characters are moving forward from where they were. Haru and Sasayan are becoming more friendly and Haru is hanging out with Sasayan's friends. Shizuku's brother Takaya is introduced, who is just like his sister. She loves her little brother, she keeps saying he is cute and a well-behaved kid. This volume had Valentines day and Shizuku's Birthday, so all the girls in the group got together and made chocolates for their crushes, that was fun. Yuuchan got the opportunity to talk about her boyfriend. Ooshima got to give her chocolate to Haru and told him to his best, and like Asako said she knows her place so she won't interfere between Haru and Shizuku. I feel a little bad for Asako, she likes Micchan and gave him the chocolates but didn't get the reaction she wanted back from him. And Sasayan seems to care for Asako but I don't think there will be anything between... I guess I'm wrong but let's see what happens in the coming volumes. I liked the part where Haru wanted to brag about how Shizuru was making and then would give chocolates to Haru, but Yamaken was like "Valentine's day?... What about it?" he said that while he flipped his bag and there fell all the chocolate boxes given to him by girls, on the table. hehehe!!Now I am hooked to this series. It's relaxed and cute. Thank God! (´♡‿♡`)

Okay I am done. I could not follow what's going on in this volume, and stopped halfway through. I have had this problem in previous volumes, it's not the only one. I've lost interest. I am not going to finish this series. It is just an okay shojou series. Nothing stands out. It's another "girl determined to have the jerk as a boyfriend". Haru has his good moments, but he is yandere-ish, and a taker. Shizuku is somewhat interesting. But the characters are just archetypes with pretty much no substance. There is a reason I read shonen manga, when shojou genre is pretty much this: uninteresting love triangles. A good shojou series is Horimiya. I highly recommend that. This one I would avoid.

I love watching the everyone develop I love watching them realise that they can't do it alone and how their friends are there for them! Especially Haru and Shizuku, when she kissed him it was so cute and you can't help but just feel connected to all the characters. I like that we get more of a backstory for Shizuku and the Valentine's Day arc was so much fun to read. I ship Mitchan and Natsume❤️ it works. I get that it can sometimes feel slow but I'm seeing some real character growth so it's okay ✨

Meh, I wanted to see more of Yamaken. I get Natsume, but she's annoying.

This was once again a very cute and wonderful volume. This time we find out more about Shizuku's family. I really appreciated that, since we already got a lot of back-story on all the other characters. Sadly, I thus find out I am in some kind of bad-parenting-books-spree. This is again a book that features bad parenting. And again, the mother. This time it is Shizuku's mom who is so busy that she doesn't come to her daughters very important birthday. Sure, she talks with Shizuku later (when Shizuku herself CALLS), but I don't think that counts. You make time for your kid, you make sure you are there for those special moments that you can't have again. And it broke my heart to find out that Shizuku's mom gone so often. That Shizuku had to find out things like periods out from books and health classes, that she had to pick a lesser school, because someone had to make lunch for her little brother. What.the.hell is wrong with parents. You get kids, you better take care of them, you don't just leave them alone with one other parent, or even worse, no parents at all. Sure Shizuku's dad does his best, but yeah, a girl needs her mother sometimes, especially during puberty when not everything works correctly. It just broke my heart, seeing Shizuku being so excited for her birthday, the opportunity to finally see her mom again, only to be broken to pieces again. Poor girl, luckily she has Haru, Haru who really seems to care about Shizuku, even giving her a super sweet and fitting present. <3Oh I really have to say that I love Haru. You can just see him changing. He starting to make more and more friends and starting to become more natural when being around them. Not scaring them that much, but instead forming friendships. I loved the parts with that mouse, that was sooo adorable. The other parts of the book is about Valentines Day (and also about a certain rival), and about Natsume and Sasahara. About Natsume who is in love with someone who is way to old. And that isn't the only thing, she is also being a mean girl towards the friends of Sasahara. All in all, drama is really there. But also enough humour, love, romance and school stuff. It was a really great book and I really enjoyed it, though I am sad to know we are now half way through the series. Only 6 more to go (and if the special volume gets out, 7). I do hope we get a good ending, I would be heartbroken if things would rush and things just get jumbled together. The art is still something that I adore, it is really pretty and also unique. In SummaryHaru is slowly expanding his horizons. Volume 6 is mainly Haru-induced wackiness and embarrassment as his friends guide him on how to function within society. Fortunately, some of their lessons actually get through and pay off in a major way in an unexpectedly tender Valentine’s Day moment. The ReviewVolume 5 had a Natsume-centric chapter, and Sasayan gets a turn in Volume 6. Of the cast, he’s my favorite character, mainly because he’s the most normal. Despite this chance to get inside his head, why he decided to join Haru’s circle remains unclear. Yet he genuinely wants the best for Haru. His bringing Haru along for an afternoon with the guys not only shows how far Haru’s come (and has yet to go) but how considerate Sasayan is toward him. Still, despite his keen perception, Sasayan’s a high school kid, and there’s a particularly funny panel where he and Haru both gripe about girl problems. The girls have their own problems with the arrival of Valentine’s Day, which is generally the setting for chocolates and confessions. Even though it also happens to be Shizuku’s birthday, the arc begins with a focus on secondary character Oshima. After a rather artistic and revealing chocolate making session at Shizuku’s house, Oshima makes the uncharacteristically bold move of calling Haru out on Valentine’s Day. Their meeting is anything but romantic, yet Haru moves Oshima with his own brand of consideration while Oshima imparts insight that helps Haru a step further to becoming a more aware human being. The story then shifts to Shizuku’s Valentines/birthday celebration. Interestingly, her thoughts seem equally split between Haru and her ever absent mother. A series of flashbacks reveal more of Shizuku’s childhood, and though you have to wonder what exactly Shizuku’s mom does for a living, Robico-sensei paints a poignant picture of the restraint Shizuku exercises whenever her mother’s concerned. As such, she’s especially vulnerable when Haru surprises her, and thanks to recent lessons learned through Sasayan and Oshima, Haru manages to make it a sweetly memorable Valentines night for them both.Extras include bonus four-panel comics, two short bonus manga, an afterword from the mangaka, and translation notes. For more manga and book reviews, drop by my blog Keeping It In Canon!

Series review! 5/5!I've gotten fed up with tsundere characters so I went out to test/read more of this other subtype known as kuudere (google: kuu "cool" + dere "lovestruck"; literally: cold and emotionless characters that slowly show their feelings). A quick google search of top rated/favorited ones included this (and Akuma to Love Song, which I stopped reading a loooong way back and must re-read again soon) so I did. And I am pleased. Very pleased. One of the reasons why I stopped reading shoujo mangas is because of MCs that bottle everything up. I don't like it when there's a problem, but there's also an easy solution for that -- such as talking. Like c'mon, talk it over, dudes.Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun was such a breath of fresh air from all that mess. It was light, fluffy, and giddy. It was exactly what I was looking for and it took off some stress from studying during this recently concluded exam week (sidenote: fingers crossed, o pls let me pass them all). The whole story was fun; I had a blast. I have no complaints about the characters either. They're all very relatable and lovely, and it was nice seeing them all interact. Plus, there's a chicken, which I found very amusing. Talk about novel ideas for a pet. Ha.

Series rating 5.0 starss! I read this series on a whim while waiting for Ao Haru Ride updates.I never expected to love this one so much!! I love the illustrations of the mangaka and the plot of the story too. It's filled with cutesy scenes and such (though not all of it).The story starts with a misunderstanding on Haru-kun's side, as he thinks that Shizuku is a friend of his. The guy is pretty dense on just about everything though, so that explains it. From this encounter then starts a rollercoaster ride.Shizuku (the female protagonist) on the other hand, is so straightforward (and I love that about her) up towards the end. I wouldn't want to overhype this read because I'm probaly late but this is really good. Towards the end of the manga made me feel somewhat unhappy because it was coming to an end and when it did ended I felt empty (and the never ending search for the next best manga begins! ;/). So much for that, I want/ed to read more of this. Cuteness rating 8/10.

Still rooting for Yamaken tbh (even if it's useless) but Haru got better, I feel like he is starting to understand that Shizuku doesn't have to be around him all the time, he still goes a little crazy around Yamaken but he is getting better... Also Natsume :(((( poor girl but I knew it was coming it was kind of obvious from the beginning And I wish Sasayan had a more active role in the group of friends I feel like he is just there lately, making the needed apparitions only to show that he is still around. I mean he did have his moments with Haru but he deserves more, he is a nice character

How cute is Shizuku's little brother Takaya? We also got some lovely backstory about Shizuku and I guess that makes it more understandable about why she is the way she is.This was a beautiful volume.

Wow this one was really funny and interesting. I think that Mitchan may like Natsume after all. I was happy when Shizuku kissed Haru and that she called her mom. I feel like her mom is pretentious though and it's obvious she cares about Shizuku, but what about her husband and son.
